The light of dawn struck through the darkness of Blackberry's den like an arrow hitting a target; silent, sharp and very annoying. Who liked being woken up from their slumber? Blackberry, for sure didn't, so he proceeded to fall back asleep. But much to his dismay, he couldn't sleep through the annoying ray of sunlight, so he was forced to get up and face the world, which is a terrible thing indeed. But it wasn't that Blackberry didn't like the world, it was just that he didn't like the boredom that it brought, while sleep, on the other hand, was filled with entertaining dreams.
Get up out of your nest, walk into the Deathclan camp and let your eyes adjust, walk around till you realize like you do everyday that Deathclan isn't nice enough to give you food like the clans do and then haul yourself out of camp to hunt, Blackberry's life in one sentence, starting at one end and ending at another just like a clock. Sure, he could go and ask to do something but the most he'd get was a sarcastic remark from Shatterstar or a request to go do some errands, and Blackberry hated errands. Oh woe was he, poor Blackberry...
