Hunting with Blackpaw

(well that sure helps doesn't it) *Takes on a more serious tone.* I noticed when you were hunting that mouse earlier you put your tail a bit to high. Next time do it like this. *He drops into a hunters crouch and keeps his tail low to the ground.* Now you try.

ok *drops down into a hunters crouch, trying to keep her tail as low as possible*

Thats much better *He complimented.* Now try hunting that mouse over there. *He said and pointed with his tail in the direction where the mouse was.*

*she dropped down into her new improved hunters crouch and began to silently creep towards the mouse. when she was close enough, she pounced, biting the mouse's neck, leaving it motionless*

oh ok *considers that blackshadow is bigger than her and tries to jump onto his back, careful not to grip on with unsheathed claws*

(Of course we can it won't take that long.) *Feeling Rainpaw unsteadily land on his back he gentily rolls over onto his back forcing her to get off. He quickly gets up making sure he's not vulnerable.Pausing for ascond he mews to Rainpaw.* You probably didn't know this but you were looking right where you were going to land there for giving away your intention.

(thanks, i didn't want to just finish the training as soon as i became a warrior) *thinks for a moment* you're right, i wasn't thinking about that. should i try to look away from where i'm going to jump?

*He nods his head.* I'll teach you a few battle moves I learned when I was an apprentice. *With that he charges at her then stops a few inches from Rainpaw making her flinch. Taking the opportunity he bowls gently her over. Walking over to her he grins.* You surprise your opponent then use it to your advantage. Let's see
how well you do. * With that he stands a few tail lenghts away waiting for her to try the new move.
