Whitepaw leaped out of the way of the first kick, only to be caught by the next. Defending and dodging what she could, she tried to get a nose swipe of her own in there as well. Claws unsheathed and senses alert, the apprentice reared up on her hind legs and aimed paw blows at her mentor’s ears and “pretty” face. A lot of she-cats seemed to like Thunderstripe. Whitepaw herself couldn’t see why. His half-mask marking made him look half bald, as well as looking like an idiot. Whitepaw would not let those thoughts distract her though. She steadily aimed blow after blow.

((man, you aren't nice to me, are you? XD))
He managed to squirm away, and tackle from behind, he bit down on her scruff, and dragged her a bit.

Thunderstripe used her fall against her by rolling to the side and then scraping his half sheathed claws down her belly.

Whitepaw kicked out at Thunderstripe to give her the few seconds to get back on her paws. Now standing again, she backed away, getting ready for another attack.

Thunderstripe dashed to her left, only to quickly changeto the right, and just before attacking, he jumped to the left again and tackled her into a rock. Thunderstripe stood over her. an evil look in his eyes, like a rabid beast.

Whitepaw was never afraid of a cat until then. Her mentor was caught up in the fight. Whitepaw knew what she needed to do. She let harself go limp as a wet leaf, in submission. She gave in. Maybe Thunderstripe would return to his sanity.

Thunderstripe dragged her off the rock to the middle of the training hollow. he breathed heavily, not from exhaustion, but from something else. his psychotic rage perhaps. "There it is... how does she do it? i dont know..." he mumbled to himself, barely audible. "but i see it. i know. i know.... Now, i do it, i do it, and..and..." he looked toward Whitepaw. "Oh god.. what... why..?" he stared.

Whitepaw just stared at him, still limp, and was stunned by his insanity.

"I know them. I can hear the voices... Do you hear them?"
Thunderstripe had a glazed look over his eyes, then he looked like a helpless kit for a moment. "PLEASE! Make them stop...... just.. please.."

Whitepaw, with unsheathed claws, raked her paw over her mentor's face. "Snap out of it!" she hissed.
