I watched them fight. I looked out into the clearing at the Apprentices den. "I hope my ceremony's soon!!" I whispered. "Me Forestkit, and Moonkit! were apprentices now!" I thought in my head and jumped with excitement. I looked down and screamed. then I noticed it was just a beetle. I looked back to see if anyone was staring. Embarrassment flooded over me.

Rosekit had been awake the whole time but had 2 mice in her mouth from catching them in the nursery and decided to take them to the fresh-kill pile. Once out of her mouth Rosekit decided to go to sleep and curled up in her nest.
