Goldentail padded in with Shadowwing, he had been shot in the shoulder and she had a long gash along her side for a sharp piece of metal from the twoleg monster

Heatherpelt sighed as Goldentail came in with Shadowwing. Both were wounded. She quickly disappeared back into her den and came out with eight marigold and four bear berries. She went over to Shadowwing, numbed the wound with bear berry juice then took the b ullet out. She then applied marigold. Then she numbed Goldentail's gash with bearberry and applied marigold poultice.
