Shadowwing walked into the warriors' den and curled up in his nest. He closed his eyes, but sleep didn't come easy. Eventually he fell asleep.
His eyes flashed open when he heard something. But this wasn't the warriors' den. He looked around. Shadowwing was near the Iceclan border. His ears perked as he heard it again. What was that? Shadowwing walked to where he thought he heard the sound. When he arrived, nothing was there. He strained his ears more, trying to pick up some sort of noise.
There was a rustling behind him. "Hello?" Shadowwing turned around. From under a bush, scurried a mouse. "Oh..." Shadowwing ignored it and walked on. Then there was a deffening scream. Shadowwing ran toward the noise. As he got close he smelled something he knew all to well. Blood. He scanned the area. "Hello?" He called again.
His heart skipped a beat. Prairiemist was laying dead on the ground. He ran up to her body. "Prairiemist?!" No response..
. "Prairiemist!" He called franticaly again, shaking her. No response...
He blinked and he was back in the warrios' den. Shadowwing scanned the den for Prairiemist. She was sleeping soundly not to far away. He sighed and layed his head on his paws. //It was just a dream... Just a dream...// He closed his eyes and hoped a more peaceful sleep would come. But Shadowwing didn't sleep.
