Lilykit So weak clapsed out side the med den she felt like she was on fire. She tired to call for help but nothing came out.

Fernpelt dashed out of her tunnels, hearing the faint thud in her den. Exploding from her clump of ferns, Fernpelt's eyes roved over the kit's body. "How do you feel? Your body's on fire and your throat is sore? Nod or blink if the answer is yes," Fernpelt mewed. As she waited for the answer she got out some feverfew and elder berries.

Ferneplt frowned a bit. She didn't want Lilykit's sickness to get in the way of her chioldhood. "Here, eat this," Fernpelt said, nudging borage leaves, lavender, feverfew, and elder berries in her direction.

fernpelt nodded her ascent and quickly grabbed some moss. Crouching down next to the fresh-water spring in he rden. fernpelt dipped the moss in, bringing it up full of water. She set it down next to the kit where she could lap up all of the moisure.

Lilykit noded to Fernpelt "thank you very much" she started to lick the moss fast. The cool water felt nice as it slipped down her throat

Fernpelt smiled at the young kit. She wanted to make her as comfortable as possible in the new den. "Food?" the medicine Cat asked. She also planned on giving the kit a poppy seed so she could go to sleep.

Lilykit finished drinking the water from the moss. She looked up at Fernpelt "yes please and can i have some more water please" she said nicely with a sweet smile.

Fernpelt nodded asi if she were a slave, and fetched the moss, soaking it again. She dropped the moss by Lilykit and retrieved a plump mouse from the freshkill pile. "here, eat it with this poppy seed," Fernpelt mewed.

"They help you fall asleep, so you have plenty of rest to fight the fever," Fernpelt meowed. She didn't mention that it would save her from having to feel the convulsions ofbreaking the fever while conscious. That would be a terrible experience.

Lilykit did not want to upset Fernpelt for all she did for her. she licked up the seeds and started to eat the mouse. After she finished she licked teh water out of the moss a big yown came out of Lilykits small mouth. She looked at Fernpelt "can you lay by me please" she asked nicely.
