Shadefrost merely blinked in reply. Lovely.
The stench of the TreeClan cats was uncomfortable now, and she knew the kits back in the nursery would be on her- as well as the other queens- more than ever, asking more and more stupid and pointless questions about the gathering. She could feel the stink starting to soak into her fur, and shuddered. |

Ferneplt was about to respond to Sunblaze's hostile comment with one equally scathing when she noticed teh drama enfolding. Not wanting to be caught up with anything involving Solarshine, she slipped away to her usual solitary spot.

As Sunblaze pulled me off I landed on my paws, using my claws to keep balance. I looked down ashamed, not meeting with Mintleaf's shocked gaze. "Just tell me exactly where she is, and tell me the truth." His voice grew sadder. "I've been through to many lies this moon." Now he looked up a little but not all the way, his eyes looked more like a puppy begging for food. |

Sparrowfeather said nothing as she padded in, and sat somewhere near the center. Such a thing showed anyone could approach her-, but, she didn't necessarily be looking for a new best friend.

Greypaw looked as the fireclan queen padded into the clearing. he shrugged. he might talk to her later, probably not though.

Lightningstrike padded into the clearing for gathering and looked around for anyone she knew. As she looked toward the center she spotted her friend Sparrowfeather and walked towards her. "Hello Sparrowfeather." She greeted as she approached closer to her friend.

Mintleaf stared straight at Solarshine. She didn't actually know where her leader was--she believed Spiritstar was still at camp. However, the other Clans may take that piece of information as a sign of weakness, so she held her head high, dug her claws into the dirt, and tried to think of a way to respond to him.
She felt all her muscles tense, and her brain work over-time. Her claws forced its way as far into the dirt as they could go. She didn't drop her gaze, but she didn't pay complete attention.
She was sure Solarshine could see her whiskers twitching, but they were such miniscule twitches, it was more likely he couldn't tell.

greypaw, who wasnt sitting far away from his deputy and solarshine padde over quickly and whispered in mintleafs ear. "say hes dealing with a kittypet that crossed borders." his whisper wasnt loud enough for the others to here, thankfully, for he had a bad feeling his leader wouldnt make it to the gathering

He let his shoulders drop. "Mintleaf you have to trust me, mosst cats think I'm crazy. But I'm like this for a reason." His eyes dropped to his paws, like a kid would if he lost his parents. "I need to know where she is. I couldn't explain here, too many cats would freak out." He sighed deeply.
I heard Greypaw's lie, it made me bare my teeth. "Me and your leader is closer than any other cat here, even in your clan!" I was furious, why should the deputy listen to the apprentice! I rolled my eyes furiously. He gulped and looked into her eyes. "Please, I need her, my signs would mean nothing. Cloudclan needs me to tell someone." I bit my teeth together. His mew was only loud enough for Mintleaf to hear. |

Greypaw bared his teeth back. "try and attack me, see what happens!" though he sounded mean his claws were sheathed and his fur was flat, he knew no cat was stupid enough to physicly attack another at a gathering

Mintleaf touched Greypaw's shoulder with her tail. "You must calm down. Solarshine speaks the truth; he and Spiritstar have been known to be quite close. Go on and let me deal with matters myself." She let her muscles relax and stopped digging in the earth. She padded over to Solarshine until she was right in front of him.
"Spiritstar isn't here; she's staying back at the Clan camp." She let that sink into his skin before backing away.
