Alone Again, How About You?~
'Cold is the night, warm is the day, when the roles reverse, the end is near . . .' Harekit was offically three months old today. Her wide blue eyes gazed around the camp, from her vantage point from the Nursery entrance, she could see all of the movements in the camp. She hadn't seen Scorchkit around lately, and wondered were he was.
The little kit was adorable, her soft, downy, kit-pelt, had become smooth and glossy. Her scent was close to lavenderish, with a hint of the forest. Smiling to herself softly, she pushed a ball of moss around with her paw. Clearly she remembered the second day of her life.
Smiling slightly she moved into a lieing postion, and watch the clan's movements. Streching her jaws in a yawn, she rolled onto her back. Of course she knew that no one was really interested in a little kit's mewlings of the world around her so she stayed quiet. Maybe Scorchkit was nearby and would want to play.

Starkit woke up from her nap and saw harekit "maybe she would like to play with something...I know just the thing!" She thought as she ran out of the nursery return with a feather, "do you want to play?" She purred

~So sweet, one must be so cruel, as to not fall for the wingless angel~
The black tom had been keeping watch over the three month old kit from his shadowy hideout beside the nursery. His silver-blue eyes watching her every move.
Scorchkit had started to act indifferent to her, really not worried about what she said or did. he was laying down, his back legs out beside him, front legs folded before him, tail flicking slowly. He was calm.
The six moon old orange patched tom was waiting for his ceremony, which would happen today or tomorrow. Who knows.
Scorchkit continued watching, as another kit bounded over with a feather. At first the tom tensed, ready to spring into action if needed.

Frightened By Night, Calmed By Day~
'We all fear something . . .'As a cold wind swept over her, she shivered lightly, a pang of lonlyness sweeping into her heart. As another young kit approached her with a feather clamped in her jaws, and asked to play, Harekit nearly takled her in happiness.
Calming down slightly, Harekit smiled lightly, "Sure, I would love to play!" She sent one last sweeping search of the camp with her calm blue eyes before turning her full attention to the other kit before her. "My name is Harekit, and you are?" Her mewed politely, her eyes bright and lumonious.

Play Time With A New Friend~
'To someone so young, a friend can chase away all of the darkness . . .' Harekit simply nodded to the kit. Her eyes twinking in the sunlight, "What a lovely name, thank you for bringing the feather!" Her soft calico pelt shone in the light, gleaming like the apprentices, even though she was far from her apprenticeship. It still fluffed up around her tail giving her the tell tale look of a kitten. Crouching down she growled lightly, playfully, "Lets play!"
[It doesn't matter that it is not from the books, the suffix -star, is reserved for leaders, and therefor cannot be used as a normal pre-suffix for a cat. Ask Fernpelt, she would know.]

( the names don't have to come from the warriors books) "Starkit.... ((The name is in violation of the rules because only the leaders may have that name. What does your kitty look like?)) ~Be not afraid of the dark, because a guardin looks over you~
Scorchkit moved into the light to make himself known, but did not usher a word to the she-kits. His breath billowed around his muzzle, as he inhaled and exhaled in a great sigh of relief. He relaxed laying back down, folding his paws under him.
Silver-blue eyes watched them carefully. His fur was near slick and pitch glossy black, the orange patch covering his left eye still had a reddish hint to it. He rolled his squaring shoulders, flicking his lenght of a tail. He held his broad head up, but it slowly drifted downward. He still had a kitness look to him, but dont be fooled by it.

~may the guardin follow~
Just a little closer, now. He was laying fully in the sun now, creeping closer to the unaware she-kits. He would move, then lay back down. Really he didnt want to interfere, but the small calico drew him in. Her soft blue eyes, glossy pelt. Very addicting indeed. Then the scent. So sweet and mizmierizing, he continued to follow it.
Scorchkit acted as if he wasnt doing anything, just lazing about. His ears flicked in the kits direction.

The Angel Takes Flight~
'Every angel, or child, needs to feel the wind in their pelt at least once in a lifetime . . .'
Looking at her in the eyes she batted gently at Bluekit's ears. A happy purr ran through her body, it was nice to play with someone. Slowly the feather drifted down to the kits. It seemed to sparkle and gleam in the sunlight. Dazzled by it she reached up with her paws, it gleaming in her eyes. Leaping into the air, her hind legs already stronger than most kits from the other clans, propelled her into the air, grasping the beautiful little feather in her calico paws.
She seemed tofloat down from the sky, although she landed ackwardly, the feather still clutched in her paws. She didn't know that Scorchkit was watching her. Waiting to help her. With a small squeak of pain she fell to the ground. It was her own fault for getting hurt, landing on her paw the wrong way and all. What would Scorchkit think though?

~My sweet angel inflicted with pain?! No.~
In one leap, Scorchkit was standing over the hurt kit, his ears perked. His silver-blue eyes staring down at her with worry. His black fur slightly bristled.
He could have caught her if he had been closer. What an idiot he was. He bent down closer, sniffing for any blood, sighing with relief.
Scorchkit ran his tongue over the kit's head gently, "You okay?" He asked softly looking at her.

And So The Angel Picks Herself Up And Dusts Herself Off~
'Childern are resiliant, ready for anything . . .' A gentle lick speared the pain away, it didn't hurt at all anymore. So she lifted her head up slightly, Scorchkit was leaning over her body, a worried look on his face. Harekit just smiled at him, "I'm fine! I just landed wrong." slowly she stood up, keeping her injured paw off the ground. Setting it down she didn't feel any pain in it, slowly streching it out, and pulling it back to her. She mewed again, "See, I'm fine!"

~Sometimes we over react to useless things~
His black fur began to lay flat as he sat down with a heavy thump. His breath billowing out in a gusty sigh, "Good." His silver-blue eyes watched her carefully, before looking away indifferently, "Just be more careful in the future."

Angels Have Feelings~
'The child has to be comforted, never hurt them, for it lingers in the sub-concious . . .' Harekit's ears drooped, she turned away from him, the pain in her paw coming back as a dull ache. She glanced at Bluekit out of the corner of her eyes as she bowed her head, "I do not feel like playing anymore." Slowly she walked over to her mother in their nest, and curled up agains her belly, safe and warm she pulled her paw too her, and licked it gently. Her mother nuzzled her gently, but Harekit sat looking at her paws. It was sad really, she thought Scorchkit was her friend, but he was being so mean, so indifferent.
