Nightkit was playing with a leaf she found on the ground outside of the den. She was very bored, waiting for more kits to come along and play. She tossed the leaf up into the air and rolled on her back to dab at it and try to keep it in the air.

"Hello, Horsekit!" Nightkit started. "Would you like to play?", she asked, letting the leaf fall to the ground, not paying any more attention to it.

Nightkit replied,"Oh, i feel so sorry. But i thought that Harrowingpride was your mother!"She stared at the confused kit in worry. "Oh, and yes, we can be friends!"

Nightkit blinked her yellow eyes as she bowed her little head in agreement. "why don't you come lay with me? Oh, and you too Horsekit!" Her eyes shone with excitment.

"Yeah, we can eat! I'm hungry for a fresh-killed vole, how about you?" Nightkit exclaimed. "Oh, do you know how to get to the fresh-kill pile on your own? I don't think Harrowingpride will mind if we step out for some food! I do it all the time, Oakspirit doesn't really know, but that's not stopping me! Just follow me!"
Nightkit began to pad off to the fresh-kill pile, where no other cats where around.

Nightkit padded back to the den. She then dabbed her leaf she had found earlier into the air, and swatted it over to Silentkit.
