Is Bacon and Ham the same?

I was chating on Xat with Mintleaf, Sunblaze, Wildy, and Venny. And some how we got into a fight about if Bacon and Ham are the same.

I agree; though both ham and bacon are products of pork, they are seasoned, prepared, and otherwise made differently. I'm sure you all know that in Canada, bacon is just ham. Good ham, but still just ham. I am going to be the neutral one here. :/

They must both be difrent things cauze everything is difrent about them but they both come from a pigs butt.But in cananda they are the same as Afterlife rightly pointed out.

Diffrent. Bacon smells better when cooked (XD) and ham has no smell at all. (Or maybe it does but i dont smell ham O3o)

Bacon is crispy and fried and yea, but ham is slender, smooth and uncrispy, and... well.. yea.. you get my point.
