She blinked at her friend as she suddenly snapped at her. Blizzardpaw was silent. Easily piqued, their feelings. The cats of the West.
"Runningfeet wasn't mad at you. There's no reason to feel upset. Just let her calm down. She's trying to accept that she will always be scarred. There's no reason for you to be affected."
Her voice was calm and quiet. Her eyes were understanding. Their pale blue depths were clear of her emotion. Leapordpaw could be as frustrated as she wanted to be. Blizzardpaw would always be there to shoulder that frustration. To take that burden and anger away. She was after all, her friend. And for Blizzardpaw's shy personality, she was grateful for even this one friend.
"Why don't we go back?"

But Leopardpaw shook her head. "You don't understand. Runningfeet wouldn't tell me what was wrong. I asked, but she refused. Why did she tell you and not me? That's what I'm upset about. She decided to tell you, but not her own apprentice. Why? Can you answer that Blizzardpaw? And Venomstar has to busy to even do my ceremony. I was supposed to be a warrior ages ago! I'm upset about a lot of things. Things you wouldn't understand. I'm not going back yet Blizzardpaw."She mewed, turning away.

Blizzardpaw~ Now she was confused, and a bit annoyed.
"So you're making everyone wait for you to return. Making everyone worry, because you can't even get over some problems that you can easily accept and move on? And what are you even talking about? Runningfeet never told me anything. What makes you think that? How can you think that? About you own mentor!?"
Could her friend seriously be jealous of her? Did she seriously think it was fair to blame Runningfeet? She didn't tell her anything! And even if she did, Runningfeet was her mentor! Leapordpaw should be able to understand Runningfeet's feelings! Her mentor was injured! And permanently scarred! And she was being angry at her!
"I'll let you be selfish then."
Her voice was steely and hard. The last sentence was harsh, but necessary to snap Leapordpaw out of her daze. She looked at Leapordpaw with those cold winter eyes and turned to leave. Blame it all on her, then. As soon as she cooled down, she would be fine, Blizzardpaw decided. Let her be.

Leopardpaw looked shocked. "But you know why she's upset! I don't! She isn't telling me anything! She just runs out of the den without telling me why! And I'm not being selfish. I just need some time to think. And I have no idea why Runningfeet's upset about. You do."Leopardpaw turned away, refusing to admit she was probably making a mistake. (It's my birthday! Yay!)

Runningfeet hide herself behind a rock listoning to what they were saying. Blizzardpaw was right Runningfeet told no one about her feeling because they were not there problems but Leopardpaw's sadness was Runningfeet's fault the young she-cat warrior felt horrible about herself.

She sighed and waved her tail in dismissal.
"Then if she didn't want to tell you. She had her reason. I think she was just having a bad day. And all of her problems came home to her at once. So naturally, she was upset and wanted time alone. To let her calm down and wait until she joins us again is the best solution."
She had met these circumstances many times before. Sometimes, there was a a type of sadness you had to cope with yourself. And to be left alone was the best. To not be asked allowed the troubles to be buried. It was sometimes. Blizzardpaw smiled.
"Aren't you feeling that too? That I should leave you alone and let you think yourself? T calm down? I think you're both feeling the same way. Aren't you two mirrors of each other?"

Leopardpaw said nothing for a moment. "Fine. Look, I'm going hunting, okay? I need to be alone for a little while."She said, then padded away.

Runningfeet leaped on the rock and sat stareing at the sky.

She had smelt the warrior beforehand. She didn't bother with a greeting. They both needed time to calm down. Not be bothered. She let her reassuring smile slip away and she sighed as the tension was gone and released. Then she went back to camp.
