Sprucekit sat up in his nest, and started to wash. When he finished he let out a yawn and a luxurious stretch. He padded out of the den to see what there was to do. He looked around,'Everybody is either out on patrol, hunting, or sleeping.' He slowly trod back into the nursery and lay down in his nest again. He laid his head on his paws. Then he saw something scuttle across the floor in front of him. He quietly got up and followed it as it scurried across the floor toward the den wall. It suddenly stopped and climbed a spiderweb. As he watched it he started talking to it,''So... What do you want to do Spider, Spider, Spiderpelt?'' As if it knew what he was saying, it seemed to be looking at him. So in response, he started giving it options,''How about, tag?'' It seemed to look at him again as if saying ''Yes'' ''Great! I'll be it first!'' he said. As the spider started scuttling across the floor again, he started chasing after it. But as he was about to tag it, it went underneath the den wall and he crashed into it. ''Fox dung! Now I don't have a playmate.'' he said when he got up from his fall. He slowly and sadly padded back to his nest. He laid down in it and curled up with his tail over his nose and fell asleep.

The brown kitten opened her bright green eyes and she was face-to-face with a black creature. It sure was small compared to the small kitten that just woke up. She blinked in curiosity, staring at the insect that was in front of her. She did not know what it was which increased her curiosity. Hello. Chestnutpaw mewed in a soft voice and the spider crawled across the den floor. The she-cat jumped to her paws and said, Hey, wait up! She bounded after it and prodding it with her paw, wondering how it react. The spider kept on crawling away faster and out of the nursery. Chestnutpaw skidded to a stop and she growled with annoyance. I didn't even get to know what that thing was. Her tail twitched and she walked over to her mother, Wildheart. She sighed when she noticed that her mother was asleep. Maybe, mother will tell me what it is sometime. Chestnutpaw curled up beside her mother and she dozed off, dreaming about having adventures when she grows up and becomes a Iceclan warrior.

Small and bronze was what can be used to describe the little kitten, staring blankly at the wall. His lids lowered faintly over his eyes in a show of how tired he was. A click of a rock hitting the surface alerted the bronze kit from his apparent day dream, and he turned his head twords the noise.
Blinking the sleep from his eyes, and looked up at the bird that had dropped the small pebble for some unknown reason. Annoyed, he trotted twords his mother, leaning against her, his head lowering to rest on his little bronze paws.
His lids flicking closed over his amber orbs, he slipped off into a small slumber, a spider scuttling past his nose without his knowing, or much to his care.

Spottedkit sat outside the nursery and gazed at the apprentices rolling in the ice on the iceclan campsite.She looked back as her sister Sandkit stalks out of the nursery and plops beside her."Oh i wish we could actually do something today besides watch everyone play and talk!" she complained.Spottedkit licks her sister's ear in comfort."Don't worry we'll find a way.Sandkit looks at her with a trusting gaze.Suddenly it stops."I hope your right she mumbles.They both get up and stroll into the nursery. Tey see all the other kits fast asleep and stalk up to talk to the sleeping kits mother."Mrs. Goldenflower can we go out and play please? sandkit asks politely."No you kits can leave the nursery yet because your still to young." "Awwww please mrs. goldenflower? Spottedkit pleaded."No and that's final!" They both stormed out of the nursery. "Not fair!" sandkit complained. Her attitude changed as she stood up and walked away from the the nursery."Where are you going?!?!?" Spottedkit called out urgently.She raced after her sister until sandkit stopped. Spottedkit looked up. "Where are you 2 kits going?" Wildstar meowed. "N -n-n- no where."Sandkit stuttered. Widstar picked both of the kits up and droppeed them right in front of the nursery."Geesh, we got scolded by another kit's mother now the clan leader, I would'nt be surprised if star clan themselves came down from the stars just to scold us!" Spottedkit meowed. They both walked back into the nursery. "I'm taking a nap so go ahead and get yourself in trouble in you like." Spottedkit meowed with one eye closed.

This was a post I made on a rogue account on mine. :3 Envy • 1021 words.A clap of thunder reined throughout the forest, following after the bright spark of lightning. A dark gray object dashed through the shadows; it was basically invisible. But the figure was easily spotted during a lightning's strike. The animal of some sort was blastered with sleek, dark gray fur. And almost black stripes. Its muzzle was a pure white, well, slightly darker in the rain. The animal had silver whiskers, that always twitched when it was nervous. It was a cat; a tom, in fact. His build? The average, but more complex than the usual. He was the average height as well, maybe an inch taller or so, not like it made a difference. Where were we? Ah, yes; The male cat had a rather unique personality. He was a strong fighter, but used his head and his mouth more than his claws and his teeth. And yet, he was very envious of others; The others always had something he wanted, something he deserved. He was to have those titles, or that den; Because it belonged with him. That is what he thought, anyway. But, he was a loyal cat. And despises the idea of being just a ridiculous pawn in some game. When he was being used, he felt like he was under control of a puppeteer.
Rain leaked from the leaves, hitting the earth. It was about time it had rained here; the rogue territory made him feel like he lived in a desert. But, here the rain was; up and about. As much as the gray cat was happy to see the rain, it was starting to annoy him. He just couldn't be pleased with anything! The rogue cat shook his pelt furiously, shaking the rain droplets off his gray fur, only to have new ones fall onto him. His whiskers drooped down in frustration, plus; it was heavy with all the rain it had carried. The rogue searched for a dry spot, perhaps a more levitated area, so he wouldn't drown in all this rain. His bright green eyes spotted a perfect spot; A completely dry area, only because large leaves of some species covered the spot like an umbrella. Interesting. He trotted swiftly over to the cozy little location. After settling down for about two minutes, the giant leaves collapsed; sending a large amount of rain to fall on the tom's head. He hissed with frustration, he hated water. He hated swimming. The rogue hissed up at the sky, addressing to no one in particular,
" Stupid idiotic water! Go to hell! Agh! "
He growled loudly, his voice spreading throughout the territory, his green irises burning with frustration. Of course; just his luck, he managed to be under those leaves at that exact timing. After recovering from that little episode he had, his stomach growled with hunger. It felt like his abdomen was clawing him from the inside. And whenever the cat got seriously hungry, he starts shivering and feels very sick. This was not a good time to puke, out in the rain especially. Or was it? Since the water would wash away ... Let's not talk about that, okay? So, he was going to have to wait until the storm let up. All the animals would be hiding by now. But he was so hungry, he couldn't help but scavenge for any scraps hunters had left. The rain was blocking his scent, and erasing every single scent laid down here earlier. His whiskers twitched; that was a sign that the rogue was nervous. Very nervous.
All he heard was the horrible noise of thunder, crickets, and his stomach. Growling and growling. He felt his stomach vibrate as he desperately searched for something edible. He hated this, so much. The tom wanted to come home to find some delicious, tender voles; all stacked up in large groups. The rogue's gray ear twitched with agony as thunder boomed horrifically loud; leaving his poor eardrum pounding. The dark gray cat swayed his tail to and fro as his trotted quickly, wondering off for food. Wait! He saw something, it was a limp, brown lump. He walked over to see if it were a mouse or something. But all it was .. was ... a stupid cat's poop! Again, his temper went off; dung! Dung! Dung! Dung! It was just crap! How was a growing cat going to eat a load of crap?! He tossed his head up in the night sky, preparing his vocal chords for another scream;
" Stupid, stupid load of catdung! Useless! "
He yowled, up in the open. His ebony black claws unsheathed, as he scored them on the face of a tree. The violence cooled off his anger, letting the tom relax a bit. Yes, he had bit of a temper, but all cats did, right? It's perfectly normal, is all. He sheathed his weapons back in, and stalked around for more options other than cat crap. The brutal wind ruffled the rogue's dark gray pelt, tossing it left and right, up and down, forward and backward, and side to side. It was crazy out there. He'd heard about this DeathClan, but he didn't feel the need to join a Clan. That was certainly something this cat wouldn't do. He knew there were better things out there for his use. Somethings that appreciated his abilities. He didn't feel like becoming a slave of another animal, especially Viper or Scarlet. His ears prickled once more, only to seeing lightning and to defiantly hear some thunder
He was born here, because he had parents. Well, he wasn't really born right here, not in this very spot at least. His parents were loners and he simply disagreed with the whole peace idea. Oh no; He loved man-slaughter. It was fun for him, but not the one being maimed, of course. His parents? Yes, his father was Nathaniel. And the gray cat's mum was called Sarah. He didn't pay any thought to them since he left the territory. He was a rogue now, and he was happy; That's all that counted, right? Oh, and by the way; the cat's name was Envy.

Littlekit lapped water from a ball of moss an apprentice had given her, and she stared blankly at a wall. A black arachnid crawled its way to her slowly. " Hello, Mr. Spider. " she mrrowed, playing a paw on it, then noticing it's remains on her paw pads. " Sorry to see you leave, Mr. Spider. " she sighed, and then gasped, as a few more appeared on the ground near her. She picked up her moss ball, gripping it tightly with her teeth. Her tongue pressed to the green plant as she tried to march forward to kill what she thought could harm her moss ball. " This mosh ball ish minsh ! " she gurgled through a mouth halfway filled of moss and water.
~~~
The few of Littlekit's friends gathered around her. " Why do you look so happy ? " " Maybe she found catnip.. " " Did you find a mouse ? Did you kill them ?! " She heard all around her. " No, But i found a millon zillion spiders ! And Not one of them lived ! " she boasted, sitting down, to tell the story.
Gasps came from her friends. " You slayed the beasts !! " they cheered.
One kit rolled her eyes. " Littlekit always tweaks things up. I bet it was just a burned leaf or somethin' . " she hissed. Littlekit brought her black muzzle to the other kit's brown ear.
" No, they were spiders. But tweaking up my adventrues is fun.
" she whispered, and padded away to take a rest.
Is it hard being the new kit? Not really... Do you get a lot of attention? Maybe.. The silver kitten was snuggling up against her mother, seeking for warmth. Moonkit opened her sapphire blue eyes and she looked around, she wondered if anyone else was awake. The other kits were sleeping and some of them were bunched up together. She sat up and groomed herself, her fur was ruffled up and she straightened it out with her brush-like tongue. Moonkit bounded over to clumps of moss and she rolled it up into a moss ball, she batted it between her small paws. Moonkit noticed a tiny black creature crawling around and she poked it with her paw, and the spider crawled away quickly out of the nursery. 'Awwww! Please, come back. I wanna play with you.' Moonkit chased after the spider, but when she walked outside, she lost track of where the spider was. She padded back in the den and she sighed. 'Even a spider doesn't want to play with me.' Moonkit walked back over to her mother and she laid down, sighing. She hoped that someone in Iceclan would play with her and be her friend.
Maplekit's tail flicked in the cold leaf-bare sunlight. Her soft tortoiseshell fur was covered in snowflakes. She shivered as she watched the yellow butterfly flutter across camp. Her emerald-green shone as it wandered closer. She flattened herself to the icy ground near the nursery entrance and waited.
It was coming closer very slowly. A snowflake landed on her nose, but she resisted the urge to sneeze. Then, a bone-chilling wind sprang up. She stayed as still as the mountains as the butterfly was blown nearer. And then... she sprang! Her white paws swatted the air, claws outstretched. But the butterfly flew up into the air, just beyond the reach of her claws.
Maplekit hissed in annoyance as her prey escaped. She landed awkwardly on the rocky earth. Some of the apprentices snickered from where they sat near their den. Maplekit's tail hung in disappointment. She had almost caught it - but almost hadn't been enough. Her paws dragged as she vanished into the nursery. One day, the other cats would see what she could do. Maplekit promised herself as she entered the nursery that she'd be a great warrior one day. She'd be able to help her Clan survive then.
Songkit had just woken up, the morning air was cold and crisp. Songkit shook her orange and white pelt. Then Songkit crept into the shadows, just like a warrior. She then pounced on a dry ball of moss, it dangled in her claws. Songkit stood up abruptly, she began licking her pelt. Maybe later on she'd listen to one of the elders stories! She loved them! Later at Sunhigh Songkit ate a water vole. She loved water voles! Songkit loved to play hide-in-seek with other kits too. If only she could find them! Just then she saw a dark pelt in the shadows. "Hello." Songkit said. Then Songkit saw that it was only a warrior. She shrank back, afraid of the mighty warrior. Then an image came in her head, a big she-cat with an orange and white pelt, with gorgeous green eyes. Fast, lean, and mighty.
Luna-kit woke up,yawning and opening her blue eyes.Looking around she sighed.Almost all the kits haven't woken up yet.Luna-kit just shook her head and padded over to the entrance of the nursery,watching the first light of dawn break out of the sky.She was just watching peacefully until a creepy eight-legged thing landed on her nose.She stared at it wide eyed and started stammering in fear."S-spider!!!!"Luna-kit shrieked as she swatted the creepy little thing off of her and stomped on it.She calmed down a bit and cleaned her now disgusting paw.After finishing,she padded back to her mother,Shade-frost and curled up near her,falling asleep,purring every once in awhile.
Purekit, the new kit in the nursery, looked around. Nobody seemed to pay any attention to her. When she went up to say hi to another kit, it walked away as if she didn't exist. After that, she was too scared to say hi tho any other kit. Purekit slumped to the ground. "Won't somebody be my friend?" She laied her head down. Then she saw a small movment coming from her right. It was a spider!
Purekit's first thought was to shriek and run away, but could a spider be a friend? Spiders always came in the nursery alone. Maybe they were trying to find a friends too! She went up to it. "Hello little spider." She said quietly, tying not to scare it, "Do you want to be my friend?" The spider just crawled on her paw, so she took that as a yes.
Purekit was about to play with her new friend when she felt a burning sensation on her paw where the spider was. She tried to ignore it, but it hurt too much. She swatted the spider away to see a big bump on her paw. "Aahh!." she screamed, "I got bit by a SPIDER!" The queens guided her to the medicine cats' den. Purekit vowed to never trust a spider again.
Blindkit rolled in her nest. What a lovely day it's been, she thought. She got up and walked around the nursery looking for something to do, but nobody was awake. She turned around so she could go back to sleep, when she hit something. "Stupid eye," she said to herself,"If only I could see out it." Blindkit was completely blind in one of her eyes. She was born like that. When she turned around, she felt something sticky. What was this? she just kept walking, ignoring the feeling. Then she felt something crawling on her. She shook her pelt with all her might, but whatever it was wouldn't come off. Then it bit her on her leg. "Ow!" she yelled. She batted at it, and it finally came off. What she saw made her gasp. Before her was a giant spider at least a paws length long. When she ran into the wall, she had run into a spider's web! she squeaked and rushed away. Blindkit made it back to her nest and , immediately, fell asleep.
Swiftkit stepped inside the nursery. She saw a leaf fly in. She ran up behind it and followed it. She pretended to pounce on the leaf.She was trying to practice some moves. When she got a mentor when she got older she wanted them to be empressed. She would always practice in any extra time she had. She dreamed to some day be the best warrior there was and to be the deputy. She always followed rules so that the she might at some point have the chance to be deputy. She probably would not be deputy EVER but, there's always a chance.
Post by Wingkit on Oct 20, 2011 7:25:20 GMT -6
Wingkit swivelled her ears and listened. A scratching sound . . . a sound that made her want to put her paws over her ears and burrow deep into her mother’s side . . . no, she changed her mind, a scraping sound . . . the sound of something scraping against rock . . . Claws! Yes, someone was dragging their claws across the ground.
Now a sound she that seemed more familiar to her . . . an even, slow sound that she new was some cat walking . . . and then the same sound again . . . but no, not the SAME sound, she thought, because the steps are lighter and I can still hear the first set of footsteps - so two cats then, she concluded. Every few seconds the two sets of footsteps would become fainter and louder, one being faint when the other was loud . . . and that means that they are going over the same spot again and again, both opposite each other . . . they’re circling each other!
Wingkit flattened herself down into her nest and quietened her breathing - she had only lived a short time, but there were enough kits in the nursery for her to recognise the sounds of an imminent fight, and she had been told that they could be dangerous, especially to kits such as herself who hadn’t opened her eyes yet.
What does that matter, though, she thought, when I can hear a fight that’s all the way outside the nursery before it happens, and find a place to wait it out, without HAVING to open my eyes?
Yes, she was perfectly fine as she was - yet all of the other kits teased her about being more than one sunrise old and STILL having not opened her eyes. She didn’t see the point.
She winced as the circling cats from before began yowling and scratching and biting each other, and let out a sigh of relief as she heard some other cat talking to them in a calm voice, ordering them to stop. She was so caught up in listening to the fight that she didn’t notice the light sound of tiny paws creeping across stone, so when the other kit jumped on her she was completely unprepared.
“Come on, get UP Wingkit! You haven’t even left the nursery since you were born; come outside, see the camp and stop getting in the other kits fur by hanging around here and doing nothing all day!”
She shook him off and thought to herself that she didn’t do NOTHING - she listened and smelled and thought to herself, and just by doing that she probably learnt more than all the other kits. But she could tell it would not be wise to say that to another kit, she instead mumbled, “I just don’t see the big deal!”
The other kit snorted and shoved her out of her nest. “I can tell you think you know everything without being able to see, but you’re wrong!” and he started pushing her further away.
“That’s not what I think,” she wailed, upset that he thought this of her. “There is always more to learn, but I just don’t think I’ll learn to much more by being able to see!” He snorted again, ”whatever.”
He pushed her forward again, and this time she fell into something strange and wet and very cold.
Water landed on her eyes, and they instinctively opened, aided by the lubricant the water was. She saw the other kits of the nursery howling with laughter, and the kit who had pushed her into the puddle was smirking. “Maybe you do learn a lot by just listening, but you don’t learn where to put your feet if you never look where you’re walking, do you?”
Wingkit slunk out of the puddle while the kits were still howling in hysterical laughter, and ran as fast as she could to the nursery, which she could now navigate without having to use her hearing. She went to her nest and licked herself dry, all the while vowing to herself that she would be more careful to remain less noticeable, consider her words better for she spoke them, and to never be content with what she had when she knew that with the blink of an eye she could be something more.
