Lotuspaw padded into the apprentice's den, having nothing else to do. The Siamese apprentice wished she had a friend or two, but, alas, she did not. A voice in Lotuspaw's head, however, told her, You don't need friends to be a good warrior. Remember what your mother told you! The young she-cat winced at the thought of her mother, a kittypet. However, as far as she knew, every cat in the Clan thought she was Clanborn, just like everyone else. Hopefully, it stays that way, Lotuspaw thought to herself.

Spiderpaw noticed a Siamese she-cat alone. She padded over to her, hoping to make friends. "Hello, there. My name is Spiderpaw. What's your name? Oh, and if you were wondering, my mom is Harrowingpride."

Spiderpaw answered, "Oh, we're just waiting for this cat over here to answer us. Oh well." She stretched her long legs and decided she wanted to go for a run outside of camp. "Hey, does anyone want to run with me?"
