Lotusflower was surprised at all of the new cats that came into the den. She did not recognize any of them. They must have been in the nursery together, she thought glumly. The Siamese she-cat, although being made a warrior at the same time as these cats, had been in the nursery much earlier. Lotusflower sighed as she was reminded of her nursery friends, Scorchkit and Rosekit. Scorchkit had died of greencough while Lotusflower was an apprentice, and she did not know what happened to Rosekit. The creamy brown warrior shook the thoughts out of her head. Turning to Pheonixfire, she greeted, "Hi, I'm Lotusflower. You're Phoenixfire, right?"
