hailpaw l;ooked around the apprentice den wondering were she would sleep "hello?" she called out wondering if anyone was in the den

He noticed a new apprentice in the den. He sighed, getting
up on all four paws. 'Hello?' He heard someone say, and looked
to the new apprentice. 'Her name is Hailpaw, right?'
He thought to himself. So he walked up to the apprentice, and
waved his tail in greeting. The mute tom sat down, folding
his tail over his paws.

"hello "hailpaw meowed he white fur shone in the sun makeing her light gray spots look very dark."were do i sleep" she questioned

He noticed an empt nest close to him, so he
pointed to that nest, and shrugged. It was
just a suggestion. He yawned kit-like, and
wrapped his tail around his paws. |

BRIGHTPAW padded into the apprentices den."Darkpaw can't speak he's a mute."She jumped into her nest next to Darkpaw."was training any better Darkpaw?"she asked waiting for his signal of yes or no.

He shifted his paws when she asked the
question, but luckily Brightpaw explained his
situation. He looked at Brightpaw, his eyes
said thanks, and he noddded. |

He assumed she ment what
he did to say yes, so he nodded
his head once more.

settling down in the nest next to darkpaw and closed her eyes whispering "good night" then she fell into a heavy sleep remembering all the battle moves skywing had taught her.

hailpaw sudenly woke up she looked at darkpaw who was settiling in his nest " can you think in words like you talk in your head ??" hailpaw asked wonders sparkeled in her eyes.

"oh well thats cool do you ever wish you could speak?" hailpaw asked bewilderment flickered in her briliant blue eyes she looked into his gaze never wanting to look away.
