She rolled her eyes. "I'm not defending him. But even without him, there would still be drama, it's just a fact of Clan life. And it's not like he doesn't know what he's done."
Koisplash was frankly sick of everyone going on about drama now; it had become the new trend. Of course she wanted it to end, but only most of it. They had to face the fact that some of it would still stay, though not as major. It'd just blend into Clan life soon and everyone would forget about it and treat it as normal a thing as hunting patrols.
"Leave him be. I think he knows what he's done, even without you telling him," she said wearily. "He did kind of bring it on himself, but I think he just got a bit too carried away." |

Junipertree raised a brow in question.
"Got carried away?! He attacked a clan-mate; more than once! And he's crushed more than half the female population of the clan's heart's; though they brought that on themselves..."
"I know that he knows what he's done wrong. But I don't think he would have dealt with it unless he heard it from someone else. He needed to hear it from someone else.."

Koisplash paused, briefly remembering Ravensong/Fang then, and that incident with Hollowfog. Her insides tightened at the memory. |

Junipertree sighed. She was debating on whether to apologize or not. In her mind she had done nothing wrong; but her conscience figured she should do it anyway apparently...
Stupid conscience!
Junipertree pushed back all her thoughts. She was much too proud to apologize, especially when all she was trying to do was help the clan!
Help the clan...That only brought another terribly awful subject to her mind...
"He's gotten worse, hasn't he?"
Junipertree mumbled refering to Beechstar.
She knew that Beechstar was getting crazier and crazier by the minute. It was a matter of time before he did something that he would really regret!

Her expression suddenly became very stiff and wooden at the mention of "him." But her eyes were clearly sad.
"He has," Koisplash mumbled bitterly. "And most of it's my fault." She wasn't even sure whether to call Beechstar a friend anymore, let alone best friend. But she missed the old Beech. He had been a good friend. |

Junipertree shook her head. Now was the appropriate time to apologize. And she knew it...
"I'm sorry for bringing it up, but he's ruining the clan..."
She mumbled so that only Koisplash could hear her.

Lightningfoot Entered the den his head held high he smiled at Nighttail and meowed,
"I'm a warrior nowmy name is Lightiningfoot."
Lightiningfoot meowed as he looked at his bright orange paws His gaze met Nighttails and he purred and sat next to her fur brushing.

Shrewbreaker lifted his head from his paws and hissed. He was getting grumpy, just like his father and all this young cat drama was killing him. "Hey! Senior warrior trying to sleep here!"
Shrewbreaker turned to Skywing and spat at him. "Shut it before I break your jaw, kitty-warrior! You act like a kit!"
He turned to Koisplash and Junipertree and raised an eyebrow. Talking about the leader again, eh? Shrewbreaker got up and padded over to two senior warriors. "I think you should stop talking about Beechstar. He's given up so much for us and no one tells him thank you ever. Imagine how he feels for once." |

She only nodded curtly in response to Junipertree. Tell me something I don't know...
Koisplash pointedly rolled her eyes at Lightningfoot, Nighttail, and Softpaw. Good grief, even apprentices claimed to be "in love" nowadays. "I thought the saying was 'make love, not war,' not 'make love into war,'" she muttered.
She looked up at Shrewbreaker's voice. Koisplash's fur bristled for the tiniest fraction of a second. "I think everyone knows that," she meowed shortly, trying to keep her voice from shaking. "But he exiled Oakspirit just for mating with his half-brother, and his own deputy for pointing out to him that was wrong! Really, what can you make of that?" |

"That Beechstar is going crazy and some of us have to do something about?" Skypaw asked. Skywing told her to just focus on her training but it's just hard to not talk about what's happening in TreeClan these days. Skypaw at least hoped what she said was close to being right.

Shimmerpaw walked away and waterfang sat and lisened to the insain convo

Another apprentice in the warriors' den? Good grief, did they not know which dens not to constantly intrude in? But Skypaw wasn't causing any trouble, so it probably didn't matter as much as of now. The other apprentice that came in brought up a topic which Koisplash had gotten seriously tired of---when would these mouse-brains get it that mate drama would never go away?---but Waterfang whispered something to her that made her leave, so the senior didn't pay that much attention.
"I suppose you could say that," Koisplash said carefully in response to Skypaw. "But I doubt anyone can do anything about it."
She looked up, almost startled, when another warrior spoke up. Sometimes she forgot exactly how big the Clan was. "Actually, the definition of that now is the one whose name ends in 'star'." |

Skypaw thought about telling Koisplash about the battle Tinydapple was muttering about. "You know...Tinydapple's been talking about a battle. It might be a battle against Beechstar or something." She told her.
