Counting the cricket's chirps, Solarstripe lied outside the warriors den, alone. He hated it. He had always tried to be open, but nobody really noticed him. He had grown used to it .. But, still .. It'd be nice to have someone he could call a friend ..

Suddenly a eight different pawsteps surrounded him, and he sat up taller. Hmm. He tasted the air, quickly recognizing the sweet and familier scent of TreeClan. Two she-cats .. Both daughters of Oakspirit, and around the same age as himself. " Hello .. " he mewed to the second one, to the left of him, saving his question for the other she-cat.
" All you want .. ? Something wrong? " he asked politely.

Bluewish snorted back laughter as he approached the warriors den, an orange tom lay on his stomach with a white she-cat flipped on her back beside him her expression similar to ones he had seen many times. Another cat in the corner to the entrance grooming her brown tabby fur, a few strands danced in the wind as she tried to capture the unruly pieces with her delicate pink tongue, another sat gloomily in her nest, eyes wistful and words unspoken hanging on her lips.
"Hey" Bluewish mewed coolly, still biting back his laughter. "Just beating 'em off with a stick over there 'eh?" Bluewish chuckled to the tom. "Bluewish, That's my name" he nodded, settling down into his own nest. Pinning down his tail and licking the silver tabby furs back into place, wincing when his rough tongue scraped a bare spot where a bramble had riped out some fur. The skin was swollen and bruised. Releasing his tail Bluewish settled deeper into his nest, surveying the scene with laughing blue eyes.
As the cats made conversation the sun was beginning to set sending rays of gold and pink to the fluffy clouds, the forest becoming a sillouette. As shadows darkened and grew the cats pupils widened letting in as much light as possible, the dark circles reflecting the colorful sunset like tiny black mirrors. In the distance owls ruffled their feathers, anxious for the night to come. Badgers hid in their dens and the sly fox skirted the forest searching for any careless prey that wandered into its clutches. It was nights like these that Bluewish thrived on, everything was living its own life and he was happy to live his, worries of the day were lost and cats in every clan gathered and shared news and opinions. Nights like this made life worth living.
