Good job! Now many apprentices make the kill on their first try! Now if we were hunting, you would just bury that and continue hunting. But we need to get back to camp and work on some defense and battle moves. So, carry that mouse and let's go back up.

Alright. To defend your self, it's important to keep your eyes, ears, and belly unexposed. This is because you want to avoid going blind, loosing an ear, and getting badly wounded on your belly-a very tender spot. So to block yourself, always keep your ears flattened, and stay low to the ground to prevent getting knocked over and getting scratched on your belly. Block your eyes with your paws when needed too.

Since we've already toured most of the territory, you caught your first mouse, and you've learned how to defend yourself, I'll teach you one attack move, and then we're done for the day.
If a cat is standing up, attack it from the side and ram it down. Then keep it down and claw or bite until he or she flees.
