Nightpaw moaned softly, pain shooting through his upper half. Attempting to move slightly, pain shot up his back right leg. " Ughh... " he moaned, his mind spinning dizzily. It even hurt for him to speak, his head and neck hurt that bad. Nightpaw had stepped into the hole and broke his right hind leg, and had run into a tree and slammed his head into a tree hole to the point where he couldn't move his head or neck at all. " T-Tanglepelt? " he mumbled, attempting weakly to speak to her. Opening his eyes, he appeared confused and still.
His whole front upper half felt paralyzed from where he slammed into the hard wooded oak tree. " Ow... " he moaned softly again. |

" it's okay." she meowed reassuringly. She waited to see if the med,cats would come.

His whole body hurt, and ached from the position he was in. " Gosh.. Tanglepelt, put me in the nearest nest will ya? " he managed to mumble, wincing in pain when his head began to ache and hurt horribly. |

Bubblekit came in with wide blue eyes. A bunch of fresh, soft moss was in her mouth; she had brought it in to help the medicine cats. Then she froze to see an injured black apprentice; she'd seen him before. She smiled softly at them, but had sympathy for the poor tom.
“Hi ..”
She murmured softly.

Nightpaw stiffened, hearing the soft familiar voice from the nursery. Oh great... he thought pathetically. " Hi...ow! " he yelped, feeling a lot of pain from his head. Whimpering softly, the black tom kneaded the air quickly and quietly in pain, purring faintly in pain too. |

Bubblekit brought the moss over to the apprentice, trying to slid it under him without giving Nightpaw any pain. If she were older, she'd pick him up and put him on the moss bed; but that would be impossible in this situation.
“Nightpaw .. What happened?”
The light ginger tabby said in her soft little voice. |

" Well...ow...I stepped into a hole, and then I slammed into a tree, my head going with it and into a tree hole...ow! " he mumbled, making a pathetic little squeak when he fell from Tanglepelt's back and on to the soft moss that his friend had successfully put under him without hurting Nightpaw. Huffing angrily, he attempted to curl up without causing much pain to his back leg along with his neck and head. " It isn't fun either. " he grunted angrily, angry at himself for being so clumsy. |

She winced sadly when he said 'ow'; it made her feel really bad for him. Bubblekit smiled weakly, trying her best to comfort him.
"Oh, I see .. I'm sorry that happened, Nightpaw. W-would you like me to get you something?"
The light tabby asked, eager to cheer him up. Or at least, make him comfortable.

" I would appreciate it if you brought me a mouse. I haven't eaten since last night. " he admitted, his stomach growling. But then he realized it would hurt his head. " Tanglepelt, I'm fine. Would you please leave me alone? I would much rather appreciate being alone with Bubblekit. She's enough to cheer me up. I don't need you hanging over me like a hawk. " he mewed, wincing in pain when he said that much. With a sigh, he placed his fluffy tail over his nose, attempting to at least get some rest. He hadn't rested much that day either. |

Tears filled Tanglepelt's eyes. She turned away and walked out. Did he not like her any more?

She glanced at Tanglepelt with a sorrowful look; Bubblekit felt bad that the warrior's own apprentice didn't want her there. The small tabby looked back at her friend and nodded stiffly before running out of the Medicine Cat's den and to the freshkill pile.

Nightpaw frowned at Tanglepelt, guilt weighing himself down. ' We really shouldn't get too attached to each other...She's much older than me..and I'm barely old enough to be a warrior! ' He thought, his thoughts kept to himself. With a heavy sigh, he felt guilty about his harsh words. ' It's just that I don't need her hanging over me every time... ' He thought guiltily again. His eyes appeared blank, lost in deep memories. |
