;; - - ;; [ I worked hard to post this, so can you at least add some more words and work hard, too ? Thanks. ] Fleetpaw's skinny build was settled in front of the wet den. Her eyes that matched the rain dappled ferns searched for movement outside. The moon was looming over, providing the prettiest white light with purple hue. The calico tabby lifted her head that was rested lightly on her paws. It was midnight, and the rain started to pour. Her back was slicked back with rain water, as well the tuft on her head. Fleet stood, the weight of water weighing down. The apprentice shook, her tail swaying with her body then sticking straight up as she lightly jumped, then landing on her small graceful paws. The water was mostly off now. She settled back down, watching the rain drop down and bounce a little. It was pretty.. how the moon reflected on the water.

[Sorry if it's not as long as gods essay. I'm on my phone]
%Hey there Delilah, what's it like in New York city? I'm a thousand miles away, but girl tonight you look so pretty, yes you do. Time square can't shine brighter than you, I swear it's true.%
The deep gray colored tom sat about half way in the middle of camp. He was on guard this rainy night. He was advised to take shelter, but he didn't. He had a passion for water. It made him a little less than fearless. He was a cat not afraid of water.
Deeppaw sniffled a bit as he took in a breathe. Water went up his nose. He reached a paw up and pressed out a surprising amount of water. It still didn't bother him. It only meant he had a cleaner nose now. He sighed now sounding depressed.
"My friends don't even care if I'm in this bitter rain." He had no clue anyone was out to watch. He let his angry thought flow away with the wet and soggy air. The rain masked his brilliant scent abilities. He tucked his paws under his chest and curled his tail around.
Then he got, well, found a scent. He put his ears down. He had just sent out a private thought with something or one listening. He felt so stupid now. "Alright. Whose there?"

Fleetpaw froze, the downpour now pulling her short fur down again. She looked back at the apprentice's den, wondering if she could just make a run for it. Well, of course she could. But, this was an opportunity to socialize. She decided to greet him formaly. " Uh.. Fleetpaw, Treeclanner, Apprentice of Beechstar. " she said, keeping her distance. She could barely make out the tom's gray figure in the pour. She wasn't very social, well, she wasn't as social as she thought she was. As a kit she was boastful, but something clicked when it set a bad reputation. The tabby apprentice tried to trek towards him, but was afraid of the reaction. " But.. uhh.. who are you ? '' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know water. the hydrogen droplets splatted over the brown tabby pelt, as if it were an artist's blank canvas. it was nothing more than a canvas. no—it was a mere invisibility as it looked upon the grass. the perfect green grass that was decorated by moonlit water droplets. the scene was undoubtedly beautiful. beautiful. unlike the creature gazing over it in the pouring rain storm. the treeclan kittens called this being ugly and weird. that it would never fit in.
the striped animal sighed softly to itself, looking down at a small puddle. it looked down into the water, and saw the bright moon behind itself. but then the creature saw its face. and worse; it saw its eyes. two dreadful colors mixed into one: cornflower and lime green. the outcast scowled, and swatted a large paw at the puddle before streaking away in a blind hurry.
i am hideous. no one, not even my mother, will be proud of me. i am alone. it thought angrily as it ran out of the nursery. if animals could truly cry, this creature would be doing so right now. this being was a treeclan tom. this being was a brown maine coon with mis-matched orbs. this being was shrewdkit.

The gray cat smiled uneasily. What had she heard him say? "Nice to meet you." He meowed cautiously. Deeppaw finally let himself smile at the tabby calico. He was bored at the moment. Why not talk?
Deeppaw sat up to directly face the cat. "I'm Deeppaw. Apprentice of Tinydapple. Cat of Treeclan." He meowed smoothly. "Why are you out here? You could catch a cold." He meowed with a little concern in his eyes. This cat was a clan mate.
Deeppaw maybe could be this cat's friend. She may or may not except him. He looked down at his paws worriedly. He was talking while guarding. That wasn't really too bad actually. It was healthy to socialize with cats his age.

Fleetpaw laughed. " Says the tom that's been out here longer. " She took mall notice of a brown tom. " Tinydapple, huh ? Good mentor, i've heard. You'll make a fine warrior. " she stated, her bright light green eyes not nearly glowing. She looked over at Shrewd, then back to Deeppaw, her eyes dimming a little, and letting out a small sigh as if saying ' one minute '. She sauntered over to the maine coon kit, sitting behind him. " Are you alright, honey ? You sh- shouldn't be out her without your mother. " she said soothingly, the worry in her voice causing her voice to shake a little.

Deeppaw laughed. "I have a duty to this clan." He didn't say my for a reason. Then he watched her go over to the frettful kitten running about outside in the rain. Fleetpaw would be a good mother if she had the chance.
He trooped after her with a smile. "Honestly kit. You need no reason to be running about in the cold." He meowed gently. He looked at Fleetpaw longingly. He had just gotten ready to have a nice conversation.
The idiotic kit had ruined it. Yet, he still felt a bit of pity for the lost kit. It should be with its mother sleeping in a warm aboad. "We should take him back to the nursery." He murmured under his breathe.

Fleetpaw sighed. " Yeah, but he seems like he's out here for a reason or something. " she mewed. " But either way, he should be sleeping." she reasoned, running her warm tongue of Shrewdkit's head. Poor little kit.. all wet..
Fleetpaw looked back up, turning towards Deeppaw, then a smirk played on her face. " But you can't do that duty if you're sneezing and shivering all night, can you now ? " she asked, then looking back at the kit for a reply. Why was he out ?

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know he gasped in fear and spun around, water flying off of his soaking brown pelt. the kitten looked over at the calico with scared mismatched eyes. the pouring rain splashed against him, and the only he heard was the water making contact with the trees and earth. all the birds had snuggled up into their nests, and would wait until the sun came back to welcome late leaf-bare. late leaf-bare. winter was almost—finally—over.
the striped animal looked over at the russian blue tom that had waltzed behind the calico. his cornflower and lime eyes glowered at the second feline to arrive. shrewdkit did not favor this apprentice. truth be told, he never liked anyone anyways. he didn't want friends, but he did not wish to be hated, either. but this gray tom .. there was just something. probably how he thought of him. deeppaw. he didn't look like a kit-lover, did he? besides, it was like the apprentice wanted to shoo him away so he could continue talking to the nice calico.
he must be some flirt or something. shrewdkit thought angrily as his eyes scanned over the other tom. but the tabby remained silent, because it was not his time to speak. even if he was address to answer a question.

"Well the only place I can guard with shelter would be in the forest." He smiled at Fleetpaw for a moment, but it went as soon as it came. He was just a little shy. Then he grinned.
"We could both go." He smiled hopefully at the tabby calico cat. Deeppaw felt a sudden yearning to go into the forest with the she-cat. He looked at her once more. "We can sort of patrol the forest." He added to his asking.
Deeppaw wanted to be Fleetpaw's friend. He was determined to accomplish the task. He stared at the ground hoping for a yes. "The kit will go back to the nursery on its own." He meowed in a small voice.

Fleetpaw's ears twitched, irritated by the rain tickling the cartilage. " Hnnn.. " she groaned, pawing at her left ear. " Well.. " She looked down at the scared multi-colored eyes. " Awww, he's so cute. "
" A- are you sure ? He seems lonely.. " she murmured, looking back down at him. But, if he was sneaking out, maybe he wanted to be left alone.

Please? We could be friends. Learn more about each other. Deeppaw kneaded the ground with a hopeful gaze. I just want to be her friend! Please, just say okay! He thought with a pale smile.
If I go into the forest I would hate being alone! Deeppaw meowed truthfully. He hated being alone. It made him feel forgotten and disliked. His paws shifted a bit and they were all twisted up in the sandy ground.
Kit's shouldn't be awake. They should be asleep in a nest. Deeppaw thought bitterly. He was surprised that the thought had been so mean. He wasn't against kittens. Of course he was once one. Please go with me.

She sighed, and nodded. " Yeah, I guess. I mean .. I hate to leave such a cute kitten in the rain but.. he must have his reason for being out. " she murmured, her ears now flat against her head as she wandered over towards Deeppaw.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know an angry spat escaped his lips, displaying itself upon the soggy earth. typical apprentices. the males are after the girls at this time of age, were they not? shrewdkit spat once more at the ground, his blood boiling in hate for deeppaw. what a spoiled brat. he probably has dozens of friends to spare! and now he wants more? he snarled inside of his mind as his odd eyes sent a cold glare over to the two.
the brown child's large ears flattened back in rejection. “i should've known. how on earth could i be so stupid? no one will never, ever except me.” he hissed and began to walk off. his large tabby paws sunk into the mushy snow, as he trudged back over towards the nursery. but he did not wish to go back there. the place he would be judged. and on and on it would go; apprenticeship and warrior hood. his appearance and mockers would follow him to the grave. he would be forever hated. forever.
deeppaw had proved it.

[Let me explain something. Kits have no clue what love is. There for you should not be talking about how he is going after she-cat's. It states in the rules that kittens are not supposed to and never will learned about love until they are apprenticed and older. So I am going to act like you did not post what you just did because it's not under regulation of the rules.]
