Greenpaw lay in his nest and gazed up at the roof of the den. Rain started to leak through and soaked him to the skin. The black tom shook his fur and got out of his nest. Greenpaw looked out of the den and saw a flash of lightening. Then, the boom of thunder sounded. A smirk came onto his face. " A loud night. A stormy night," he laughed quietly. Greenpaw sat and gazed out, watching the flashes and hearing the booms of thunder.

Bluepaw ran into the den her pelt was soaked and she was shivering violently.

Greenpaw gazed at Bluepaw. " What were you doing out in the rain, dear?" he asked the shivering apprentice.

Greenpaw shrugged. " Are you cold?" he asked, moving over to her nest. ( It is raining here! So strange!)

Greenpaw smiled and nodded. He slipped into her nest and pressed his warm fur to her cold. "Better?" he asked.
