[Deeppaw]

The gray cat leaped out of his nest fretfully in the morning. Fresh rain poured threw the gaps in the den roof. Deeppaw poked one paw out and waited for water. Not too long of a wait! Freezing water soaked his paw and he drew it back with one shake. He like water, but not when it was icy cold. That was about the only time he hated it. Maybe he would take a swim with Snowpaw! Where was the lazy she-cat? "Snowy!"

Snowpaw blinked her eyes open as she heard her name being called. She saw Deeppaw at the entrace calling her name. "I'm awake." she meowed jumping out of her nest almost instantly. "What are you thinking?" she asked. Deeppaw would usually do that if he had something on his mind.

"Nothing! I just want to teach you how to swim!" Deeppaw meowed. "You need no fear the water. I'll be by your side." He meowed with a smile. He thought it might be cool to teach a cat how to swim. He could guide her threw the water so she would be fine. He was an expert at it!

A black and white she-cat saw her friend, Snowpaw. Darkpaw saw another cat. She walked into the den, her soft fur was soaked. "Hello, Snowpaw."she dipped her head to the other cat. "Hi, I'm Darkpaw."

"I'd love to swim with you! But I don't need teaching, I'm an expert at it!" she meowed. She didn't want Deeppaw to be sad because she already knew how to. Snowpaw could tell Deeppaw was really looing forward to teaching her how to swim.

[Fernpaw]

Deeppaw's cheeks flushed. "Sorry, I just assumed you didn't know how..." He trailed off with an embarrassed look on his gray face. "Let's go! I can wait to go under the deep blue and see all the fish fleeing about." The excitement on his face was as pure as freshly fallen snow.

"I'll race ya!" she said with energy and excitment. "I bet I can swim to the bottom before you!" she said ready to have a race.{{Lazy}}
