Larkpaw took the fresh moss that had been placed at her feet and began to shape them into new nests for the elders. "This moss is wonderous, Softpaw!" She exclaimed. "I may or may not steal some for my own nest." She joked, looking back up at the silver and white she cat once she'd finished. "Is everything to your satisfactory, master?" She mewed, a gentle teasing light danced in her fire-y eyes.

Hiddenpaw smiled as he finished forming the last of the nests that the moss he had grabbed from the stuff that Softpaw brought in. He smiled at his own handiwork then noticed that Larkpaw was speaking. He tuned his ears into the conversation and heard something about a master. He laughed a little as he noticed that Larkpaw was probably joking around again.

Rainfeather walked in then, a small robin held in her jaws. When she saw the three apprentices clustered together she set the bird down, a quiet purr rumbling in her throat. "THank you dears! What a wonderful suprise to come back to a clean den, Cloudclan bless you!" She exclaimed, taking her prey back to her nest. "Would you kitties like some? You desserve it after all this hard work!" She urged, her blue eyes- once deeper than the night sky- had faded to a crystaline blue.

Hiddenpaw smiled at the elder but shook his head to say that he didn't want any of her prey. He flicked his tail to the other two apprentices as if to say that she should offer it to them. He wasn't all too hungry, just a tad. He had eaten the night before so if he was hungry he wouldn't take food from the elder, he just found it wrong. He thought that the elders should keep their strength up and if they only had a small food supply they couldn't do that.

Rainfeather: The elderly she-cat chuckled at the young tom's silence, she thought it was quite the personality trait. "You know young lad, you remind me of someone I used to know...a long time ago." She purred. "Anywho, would you misses like some? I promise I didn't poison it." She assured.
Lark: The black tabby let out a small laugh. "No mam, I'm fine. You enjoy it for us...did you see any good prey out there?" She asked, her dark eyes shining with the thought of food, although she wouldn't take it from this kind elder. Besides, her denmates will probably want to share it with her... Lark reasoned.

Shrewbreaker walked in the den after Rainfeather. He scowled and rolled his eyes after she spoke. "These kits hardly did half of the hard work we did as apprentices, Rainfeather." Shrewbreaker tsked and sat down next to the blue-eyed elder.
"Well, not all of the apprentices of our time did their work. Ghostwhisper would always slack off. Lazy mouse-brain." He flicked his paw, but he chuckled a little. A good laugh every now and then was good for you.

Rainfeather flicked his ear with her tail tip. "I still remember when Solarshine was an apprentice...now he was a lazy tom...always sneaking off to meet-" The elder paused, pain lighting in her eyes. Solarshine had been her first friend in Treeclan, and he'd chosen a loner over her...This loner- Breakingdawn- had caused so much heartbreak for her friend. "Anywho, we're both Grateful for your work dears." She smiled.

Hiddenpaw opened his mouth to protest, to say that he worked harder than lots, but he reliezed that it would considered rude or disrespectful. He stared down at his paws instead and silently fumed at how rude the elder had jusdt been. Hiddenpaw brushed the feelings away.
Hiddenpaw looked back up at the two elders. He made sure to smile just to seem polite. Hiddenpaw had never met these two elders.

Larkpaw brushed against Hiddenpaw briefly, showing she understood his frustration. Don't worry, elder's are generally grumbly. She wanted to say to him, but didn't dare speak it outloud. So instead she tried to tell him with her eyes, the way he always seemed to do. Then Lark glanced over at Softpaw, wondering if she wanted to go...or see if she wanted to stay for a story.

Hiddenpaw smiled to say that he understood. He had already learned how to tell other cat's emotions through their eyes. He then looked back to the elders and dipped his head in respect. "I'm Hiddenpaw, nice to meet you." He meowed quietly. He still didn't know these two elders but it seemed rude to not talk when the one elder had offered prey.

Rainfeather: The silver tabby dipped her head. "I'm Rainfeather, and this is my denmate, Shrewbreaker. Pleasure to meet your aquaintence, HIddenpaw." She greeted. How polite, what a nice young tom. Strange, I wonder where his other male friends are. He reminds me of Moonpool, I swear that cat had only female friends. And boy did they cause drama. She mused. "Would you kitties be interested in a story perhaps? Or, I'm sure you have other things to do..." She added, her voice slightly frail, but happy none the less.

" yes we do" nodded Softpaw ( I guess in this thread we are still apprentices) gently to the elder. She always had deep respect for elders. they had worked hard, fought hard and trained a few annoying apprentices well at it. Respect

((Yah, I guess so XD)) Larkpaw nodded her agreement, her eyes dancing with anticipation.
Rainfeather: "Wonderful! What kind of story? Fantasy...or reality? Adventure, Mystery, romance...?" She paused, waiting to see which they would chose. The elder loved telling stories, she had so many!

Hiddenpaw's face brightened up. He would love to hear a story. He decided to let the other two decide what type though. He sat down and looked at the others to tell them that they could choose what kind of story would be told. He had never heard an elder tell a story to him.

:Softy " Well a reality for sure in my opinion, and maybe a romance?" she said looking at Larkpaw/song for advice. She was not one to want to make dissision by herself and was not selfish
