Firepaw entered the den. Her ginger paws scraped the sirt impatently as she searched for a place to make her nest. Finally she found a nice warm spot near the center of the small den. Laying down her moss she grunted as the moist leaves landed on the ground. Looking around she wondered where everyone else was going to sleep. "I guess its not going to be much diffent from the nursery. Same cats, just no queens." She meowed slowly.

Crowpaw padded into the apprentices' den for the first time and looked around. Nests everywhere and it's going to be just as cramped in here as it was in the nursery. Then he saw a ginger pelt. Firepaw! He ran over to her and jumped on her back pulling her down to the ground. "Hey Firex!"

Smiling as she was pulled to the ground Firepaw batted her bestest friend with a her paws. Smiling she laughed and meowed, "Sleep by me in the middle, its the warmest place." Her paws thudded agenst two empty nests near herself.

"Ok." he replied. It would be great to sleep beside his best friend. "So have you started training yet?" he asked his best friend. He hadn't but hopefully he would soon. His mentor he hasn't even seen. He didn't even see Hailstorm and the ceremony.

"Cool! I havnt met my mentor." She sadly commented lookng at the modd filled ground she added, "I hope Softwish likes me." Her bright pelt sho ne through the wind as she gazed warmly at Crowpaw. SUddenly she relized how well built he was, butterflies hit her stomach and she took a step back embarresed.
What was that feeling!
She wondered looking at her best friend she had to remind herself that thay were just super close best friends.

"I haven't either." he replied. "But hopefully I can start training soon." he commented. Firepaw looked weird for a moment. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah just almost coughed a bunch of dust on you." SHe laughed before starting to explain, "I smiffed a really old part of the en adn a whole bunch of dust came into my nose!"

Firepaw looked at Crowpaw and licked his cheek. Before he could say anything she meowed to him, "Lets do it now, mabye out mentors will be really proud of us. I promised Softspark that I would train untill my paws fall off. Well lets use our tails and sweep it out." She meowed blushing as she trotted to the edge of the den running her tail down Crowpaws back before she left to the dusty areas of the den.

Firepaw looked at Crowpaw and smiled her bright eyes were happy but had a little mosre in them than usual. "Come on." She said to him before beginning to pile all the dust with her tail. Lookinga t cropaw she spotteed a hole near the bottom of the den she could just fit the dust out of.

Crowpaw sweeped up a pile of dust then put it in the hole that Firepaw looked like she was thinking the same thing. He smiled then went back to work. "This will make it better."

"I agree!" She yelped before pouncing on CRowpaw her eyes excited she meowed to him. "I'm going to be the best warrior and aprpentice ever to live!" Thinking of her great leader, Beechstar she meowed, "I'll be like a female Beechstar!"

Firepaw looked up at him from where she was pinned. Trying to use her backpaws she couldnt seem to push the heavy tom off. Looking at him she meowed, "Urg! I'll get out eventually!"
