Pheasantpaw gave a reproachful smile. "No, but it seems your trying too get yourself tired." She smiled and bounced to the first branch. Then to the second, third and so on. She finally stopped at the top of the large oak. She gave a timid stare downwards at the far away ground. Her trembling gaze then reached to the tree tops. It was a simply beautiful sight to see. The orange-pink sky of dusk was tainted with a hue of purple. "B-batpaw." She murmured as she saw a moving black shape in another tree. It was bat. It was getting ready for night.

Batpaw shook his head, "With the pace your going, you'll practically pass out!" He jeered at her. He continued to hopping among the branches, getting ahead he looked down to see her eyes widened. Coming down to hernlevel he followed her gaze to a small fruit bat in a nearby tree. He looked at her bewildered, "Your frightened of that! You should see how far we are!" He smiled at her sympathetically, pressing his pelt against her he sighed, "Wanna get to the top or not?" He asked me eager to see the top. He could imagine seeing up and over the mountains where Iceclan was or the cliff of Rockclan. His gaze seemed wistful for a moment, dreaming from his own mind.

"No. It's getting dark too quickly. I don't want to be caught up in a tree all night." Pheasantpaw felt a bit of pleasure as he had pressed his pelt against her's. Batpaw's warmth filled her body and she realized she was trembling. She moved away and looked at the trunk of the tree. With out giving thought she brought out her claws and slid down. More of torpedoing down. Her claws left a trail as she went. Before she could crash rear first into the hard ground, she dug in tight and backwards climbed the rest of the way. "C'mon." She called. Pheasantpaw called out to her friend. She raced to a rock and leaped up. She seemed like some great starry warrior standing up there.

"Aww!" He reluctantly followed after Pheasantpaw jumping down to branch to branch until he could easily jump to the ground. Batpaw looked back up at the tree, it seemed like forever if they ever reached the end of it. His silver eyes could see nicely in the dark, didn't Phez have the same ability? Sitting dow, Batpaw looked at Pheasantpaw, "So what should we do? And why couldn't we keep going, I can still see just fine." He asked her. Batpaw really liked it up there, just the two of them against the world. The view would have been amazing!

Pheasantpaw looked away. "Er...I just...didn't want to fall or, uh..." She fumbled her words together. She stared down from the stone. She didn't like heights. "Um. I saw another stone that would be cool to climb." Her excuse was lame and pitiful. She pointed with her tail to a large cliff like stone that grew closely by the oak. It seemed almost as tall, bit it wasn't pointed. It had a flat surface. "Er, let's go." She pipped before running towards the rock with an uneasy feeling in her stomach. As soon as she got to the wall of it she was staring up. Her claws grappled onto little curves and crevices to pull up. She went up and up until she was at the top. Her paws grasped the rough top surface as though it was the life she lived. A crack of thunder broke behind her. No rain though. "Batpaw?"

Batpaw watched as Phez ran up to the boulder, climbing up to it's peak, then freezing. Something was up. A crack of thunder filled the air, rain would come soon after that. He followed after her, running up when she called his name. He came up to stand next to her, "What's wrong? You can tell me anything." He insisted, pressing his pelt against her, she seemed frightened. Was she scared? His silver gaze looked up at the darkening sky overhead. The air felt ecstatic and pressurized crisis from the storm. They needed to go back soon, but he wouldn't leave Pheasantpaw.

"I'm afraid of thunder and heights." She murmured under her breath. No cat could possibly hear it other than herself. She twitched as a strike of lighting split the sky. No rain. She pawed at her ear a moment in embarrassment. She knew that Batpaw probably didn't hear her, but she felt embarrassed to even murmur it. She walked past as he had pressed himself against her. Her eyes traveled away from him after he had spoken. "Let's go." She took one more glance at the sky before. Her other personality was yelling at her to stay. This was the perfect moment! Well, at least that's what one half of her said. She pushed away the cries of displeasure and tried to go down. IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!! Her other half said as she slipped. The rock smashed hard into her leg and it scraped her all the way down. "Fox-dung!" She hissed as she landed on her rump. Her leg hurt like crazy and she was tired. Without thought she half limped half crawled to the apprentice's den.
