Here We Are~[Crowpaw/Firepaw]

"I'm fine. We do this all the time." he reasurred. "Ya do you want us to moved closer to you so we are all together?" he asked tilting his head.

Mousepaw lifted her head, greatly excited by the idea. Then she saw it. Anger, mabye. Probably something else. Whatever it was, she knew what Firepaw was thinking. Crap! Swallowing hard, she looked over to Crowpaw then turned back to Firepaw, her eyes rather dull. "Umm... no thanks. Im good." the apprentice mewed quickly, her heart pounding. Why? Can't I have my way, ever? Mousekit turned back to her nest, flopping down on it, smiling fakely.

Mousepaw was acting weird. She seemed like she was hiding something or thinking something but he didn't know what.

"No!" Reasured the small aprpentice smiling widely. Looking at The empty nests near Mousekit she meowed, "I'd love to sleep by you." Then looking at the apprentice she added, "If you allow me to of course." In her eyes there was a slyness only a she-cat would be able to notice. A tom would see it as a normal smiling expression.

Mousepaw was no fool; that fake kindness look was shifting into Firepaw's gaze. She could spot it in an instant, due to the fact she was always like that as a kit. Quickly, she pushed the nests out of her little space, racking her brain for an excuse. Ah! I got it! Limping, she went back over to her nest. "My leg still isn't compleatly and I don't want it to get hurt. Plus, I think I'm comming down with something. Last night, I bet they could have heard me in Twolegplace!" Mousepaw laughed, her eyes weary.

"Mabye you should see Wasp, I can get him for you." Offered Firepaw throwing out a fake smile and friendly twitch of the ear. Her paws were starting to turn to the medicine cat den and she looked ready to help Mousepaw get there. "I wouldnt want my new friend, almost as close to me as Crowpaw, to be getting sick." She added with a deep grin.

Mousepaw smiled weakly, coughing loudly. "Sure, that sounds good." she mewed, knowing she could not walk out of it now. To herself, the she-cat rolled onto her back, hissing in fake pain. "Oww... my stomach hurts!" she moaned, rolling back onto her back. Casting a hateful glance to Firepaw, she knew that this would not just be a battle, but a full-blown war. I'll be ready to fight, anytime, just name it. That silent promise; now everything would change.

Firepaw gave a small smile before looking at Mousepaw. "COme on get up, you can lean on my shoulder." She meowed her voice full of concern. Looking at Crowpaw she flashed a worried look.

Mousepaw shook her head, knowing that this she-cat was pretending. Full of concern my tail! Hissing with fake pain, she looked up at Firepaw, her blue eyes blazing. "No, I just need some juniper be-" Thinking, the brown apprentice remembered that Waspwing had a limited supply of herbs. Oh! I'll be able to waste this one without him noticing! "Just get me some chervil. Its a sweet-smelling plant with large, leafy, fern-like leaves and small white flowers. Just one leaf." Though she would rather gag then eat it, she refused to let Waspwing know she was faking. "And mabye a poppy seed."

"I dont know what those are becuase nothing has ever been wrong with me, come and mabye you can teach me about the herbs." Flashed back Firepaw glaring at Mousepaw she had the idea of braking the she-cats other leg. Looking at Crowpaw there was a fake pleading look in her eyes. "Do you think you can go look for the herbs? I can stay and make sure she is fine." She added giving him aqua puppy (kitten cat) dog eyes.

Mousepaw had the urge to slash her throat open that instant; she had a perfect aim, but she knew she couldn't. Never. Not a clanmate. But, why not? Glancing to Firepaw, fear suddenly rose in her stomach. This she-cat was much older, and obviously stronger and better trained. No, Crowpaw! Don't fall for it! There was a pleading glance in her eyes, but he wouldn't get it. "Uh... I just told you what chervil was. Poppy is a small, round black seed." Mousepaw cast Crowpaw another pleading glance, but he probably wouldn't see it.

"I really dont want to leave my best friend with a..." Firepaw clanced at Crowpaw and with a small wink meowed, "tom." Looking at Mousepaw she nosed her towards a nest and meowed, "Have some rest, if you get worse we will so get Waspwhisker." She smiled looking actually as though she was concerned.

Crowpaw exchanged glances with Firepaw serveral times. He knew what Mousepaw was doing and he just sat there. Mousepaw looked at him with a worried glance kind of like a don't fall for what she was pulling off. So he didn't. He kind of dragged his tail behind him when he heard Mousepaw say that she didn't want them by her. So he walked all the way to his nest in the middle laying down kind of bummed that he didn't get to sleep with his other best friend.

Mousepaw watched Crowpaw leave, an upset expression on her face. Crowpaw... Just what she didn't want; for him to be in the middle of all this. Sence when did things work out the way I wanted them? She could answer that. Never. Sighing, she turned her back to the older she-cat, a tear rolling off the side of her face. Firepaw! Your'e making this hard on yourselff, Crowpaw, and me... Not just me.

Crowpaw saddened a little bit. He wanted to sleep beside Mousepaw but she said no. Why didn't anything go the right way. Everyone seemed a little different.
