Well I am straight but everyone thinks I'm gay but whatever I really don't know why I wrote that. Well gays are freaking humans too. They just like their own sex. I mean is there anything wrong with that. You guys might think that God creating men and women to have sex and get married but men and men and women and women can too. It's THEIR choice. Not yours! Let them date and get married and adopt children. Just leave them alone and treat them the same way you treat straight people cause really they are no different. We are all PEOPLE here. Just treat everybody equally!

I'm not going to tell them to stop. I'm just stating what I believe in, what the Bible says, and what I'm called to do. I don't support gays getting married and all, but I'm not treating them like dirt. If I had a gay friend, I wouldn't treat them bad. I would treat them like a normal person.

I hate threads like this.
Why shouldn't th be able to get married? Because you religion says so?
No. Do you think that some gays are religious? Yes. Do you think that maybe they are going against it to find love? Yes.
Deal with it. Everyone should have a right to love whoever, whatever they love, including the same sex.

Moo... I love you so much. So. Freaking. Much. xDD
As for that last statement... Naturewind, we get it. We understand your opinion. We are 'dealing with it', as you suggested for us to do up there. Let everyone speak and say what they want. No one is trying to attack you, just stating facts, opinions, and the like. Sorry if anyone offended you. :3 [/blockquote]

To people saying that it's unnatural: It is, you are born that way. In the animal kingdom, males assert dominance by mating with a lower male and to show the females who is boss. So to say it's not nature is completely wrong.
To people pulling the bible statements: You do realize the bible contradicts EVERY statement within it? Everything in the bible gets contradicted in some way or another as you read on. And the bible also says that any person who enjoys playing with the hide of god's creatures should be killed. AKA, if you like most sports: You're suppose to be dead c:
In my opinion, i personally believe that everyone has a little bit of gay in them. There's no way one is completely straight. You just haven't met the person who makes you think otherwise yet c: I'm pansexual, i don't really get the joke about it, but i love someone for who they are, not for their sex.
Also, there's a lot more to gay rights than marriage. There's adoption problems with it too and there's the gender binary that everyone ignores.

Thank you warrior who said 'moo'! I'm not going to tell anyone what they should say or do. It's just that, some people are not understanding that I'm not trying to force anything on anyone! *Aggravated sigh* I was just getting a bit aggravated. Sorry. Rory: Now, I don't believe everyone has a little bit of gay in them. But I DEFFINITELY know that no one is perfect. Even though I'm a strong believer in Christ, I've made alot of BAD mistakes. But, God has forgiven me.

I never said anyone was perfect though. You say you're not going to tell anyone what to do but you're going to give the whole God's forgiveness speech and you're going to tell two equally happy people who want to spend the rest of their life and build up their own family that they can't legally be together because of your religion? That, no, they will be unable to give a child a healthy home because they happen to love someone of the same sex? I'm sorry but i think that's complete BS.
You're giving the God's forgiveness speech to an Atheist here so i'd just stop. I don't believe in "God," nor do i want to because of all the crap this religion causes.

There are several arguments that can be made against same-sex marriage, and I'm here to set them to rest. [/b] [/i] say that a man and a woman need to have intercourse in order to populate the earth, but since when was marriage required for babies to be born? Never. Response to the Leviticus argument of this -- The Bible states "A man should not lie with another man as with a woman; it is an abomination." However, you also must take into consideration the context in which the word "abomination" was used as well as the time period. "Abomination" in archaic times such as the time in which the Holy Bible was written was simply a term synonymous to "unclean." Which is sort of true. When you think of the conventional mode of intercourse between two men or two women, it's highly unhygienic. Alternately, women in that time were little more than slaves to men; they had no rights, no voice, and were always submissive in the relationship no matter what. Therefore, to treat another man as a woman would be rude. Also, the argument "cleanliness is godliness" is countered by the fact that if humans were godly, it would be seen as an attempt to take over God, therefore proving to be just as sinful as they thing homosexuality is. Not to mention the fact that the Bible was written in a period of fascism, and it also went through multiple editors, who all had varying diverse opinions. Who's to say that that particular part of Leviticus wasn't just slipped in during an edit?[/ul] Jesus says it's wrong! It is a sin.It will discourage traditional marriage.I just think it's gross![/ul]

mk, I have to agree with Naturewind and Rory. I'm not all gung ho for gay marriage, but IT'S NOT LIKE i'm going to stop them from finding love. I also believe we do have a little bit of sexual attraction to the same sex. Truthfully, I'very felt it. It wasn't' a love, just a....tiny crush. Kim, that is a spam. Please put three words in there.

First, the Bible DOES say it is wrong. When it said that a man and woman must repopulate the earth, that's very true! Now, marriage is just a ceremony to show that you love this person and you want to be with them forever, but you're supposed to repopulate the earth with that person. I know that sometimes doesn't always work out, but it's true. Now when it says in Leviticus that "A man shall not lie with another man, as should a woman; it is an abomination..." Abomination there means that it makes God disgusted. So God does NOT like gays to be together. Thank you for pointing that out so I could explain, Swiftflight. I did not realize that was in Leviticus. The part when you said that 'Cleanliness is Godliness' and that people were acting 'godly' was a sin. If you were being godly as in helping the poor, that would NOT be a sin. But if you tried to actually BE God, that would be a sin. Make sense? When you said it's been through multiple editors, you were right. BUT, they didn't edit the Bible. They kept the same words, they just translated it. For the kids they got the closet definitions possible for the words they couldn't understand. Now, I know what you're thinking. 'Okay, it's been through so MANY translators that it won't be the same from the written scrolls.' Wrong! Those translators went to the ORIGINAL scrolls archaeologists found in old pots and things in caves and went over their writing so many times, the Bibles we have today are 99.99999999% close to the scrolls. And that is a scientific fact. I did not just go and make that number up. Second, Jesus DOES think it's wrong. He's God's Son and He is God himself. Now, people DO know what Jesus said because it's in the Bible what He said. And what did I say in the last paragraph? The Bibles today are 99.99999999% close to the ORIGINAL scrolls. And btw, Jesus lived 2012 years ago. Our nation's calendar is based on the birth of Jesus. Third, It IS a sin. And actually, there is only ONE sin. Disobeying God. So all the stuff you could name - war, stealing, murder - are all the RESULTS of sin, the results of disobeying God. Fourth, It will NOT discourage traditional marriage. Okay, I don't see how that will discourage traditional marriage. That's my say on that. And fifth, I just think it's gross! Well, heck yeah! I do! Sorry homos, but I do. Well, that's all I have to say right now.

First of all, you just condradicted yourself so much. SECOND OF ALL: Don't you even DARE use "homo" as a derogatory term. You should stop taking, your ignorance is leaking out.
You said you have nothing against them, yet here you are saying that you think it's gross. How arrogant of you. It's people like you that make me lose hope for humanity and make me not want to bring a child into this world in fear that you're going to fill it's mind with filth and rot it's mind.
Also our calendar isn't based off the birth of Jesus, what are you even saying. You're literally just talking out of your behind right now to sound like you know what you're talking about. But you don't.

Religion shouldn't even be involved in a debate about the right to marry. It's a human right.
