I just don't understand why everyone getting soooooo angry at ME for stating my opinion! I've just been saying what I believe in, why I think it's right, and my opinion on gay people. I didn't even force anything on anyone! I even said they can go to these different sites if they don't believe me. I'm sure 99% of you don't. *sigh* If I could delete this thread, I probably would. Nevertheless, I'm gonna stay on it until it's deleted. I wanna see what happens.

Yes, and telling someone to go on a site to look up content on religion is a form of shoving your bigoted words down their throat. Because, screw you, NOT EVERYONE HAS A GODDARN RELIGION. As stated previously, this thread was NOT intended to be a religious debate. However, YOU and EVERYONE ELSE has turned it into that. So I'm going to clarify a few points.

- Gay marriage is JUST MARRIAGE. SIMPLE AS THAT.
- Religion is NOT NEEDED to come to a logical conclusion about something.
- Telling someone to read the Bible or any other Holy Book IS, IN FACT, shoving your beliefs down their throat.
- Alternately, telling someone outright that God does not exist IS ALSO shoving your beliefs down someone's throat.
- HOWEVER, telling someone that they're not thinking from a logical, neutral position is just stating a fact if they are, and an opinion if they're not.[/ul]

Well, i never forced you or said in a forceful way to go to sites. I suggested some sites if you don't believe me and most of y'all don't. And my opinion was based on the Bible, so that's why I brought it up. Then everyone else started talking about religion. I just stood up for what i believe in.

Okay now.... I see what everybody is saying. I understand ever side, but let me see if I can clear this all up. Okay...hmm... Do I believe Gay rights is right? No. DO I hate people because of that NO WAY!!!! They are people too. Do I believe it is a sin? As a christian myself... yes, but don't get mad at me because I believe so. I understand that most of you aren't christians. You don't believe in God and don't care. Naturewind, you say it's a choice. Well... I don't think they chose to be that way. Why would they? All you other people say if there was a God, He made you that way. That;s not true either. I believe that if God wanted you to like the same sex, he wouldn't have made you of the same sex! Let me explain a little more. If you are a girl who likes another girl, well if God wanted you to like a girl, he would've made you a boy. Same for bays. If you are a boy who likes another boy, Well, if God wanted you to like a boy, he would've made you a girl. I think that Satan put the thought in your head and it bloomed from there. Naturewind, I know you'll probably tell me that's not right, but that's what I believe. Now, all you nonchristians, don't get mad at me because I'm talking about God. It's just the only way I can explain. If you don't really care, then you don't have to read this. Okay? If you still believe in what you all said before and don't think I'm correct, I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm just stating my opinion. This is why I'm a Christian, but I don't believe in all the things the bible says. God wouldn't hate gays, or think women are inferior to men.

I don't see why this is such a big deal. Let people live how they want.

Darkwing, I never said God hated gays. IN fact, God loves all people, gay or not. I'm just expressing my opinion that I don't think it is right. It doesn't mean I hate gays. That is not true. All the gays are probably wonderful people and I'm sure I'd like them if I knew them. It's just like I said above, I don't support it, bottom line. I accept that people do it, but I would never do it.

Just. . it isn't that big of a deal. It's sexuality. My sexuality isn't going to make me go around and try to rape every female alive, so. How does this effect you? Oh, right! It doesn't.

And, gay by choice? Yesyes, finally someone with logic! of course we all choose to be hated by millions and millions of people! We adore it. I'm not comepletely ashamed of who it makes me, but it's people like the person here that finds us "gross."

I have a lot of people at my school who already hate me, and I've done nothing to them. How do you think everyone would feel if they knew my sexuality? Maybe it's just the people at this.. stupid school I've always resented, but how many friends would I lose to this? All these religious people and there religious families, one of which, I come from. So this isn'teasy for me, and not easy for most people. Only two people outside of VWW know.
And it's kind of funny, one no longer talks of me, and the other literally, missing.

So, yep. All my friends have their boyfriends and such, and ask me who I like and all that crap and I either lie or it's always just a no one. It's very much a lie since I'm nearly torn apart everyday by the same girl.

Not easy. This is nothing I choose. But, basically, the people here that don't believe in Gay Rights.. I can't have an American Citizen's rights because I'm happily married, or, wish to be happily married?

As I said before, Naturewind, you think some of the homosexuals weren't, or aren't religios? You're wrong.

An ex of my mother's had this brother. He was gay. His entire family criticized and told him that he was going to burn in Hell. They sent him to a camp, to 'Bring the devil out of him.'

You know what happened to him?

He was so unhappy and ashamed that he committed suicide.

People like you make people like him do things like that.

The thing was, he was a good man.

Satan does not exist.

There is no random evil under our feet.

There is no voice in our heads telling us to perform evil acts.

Homosexuality is not an evil act.

Homosexuality is a matter of the hormonal distribution of an individual.

Or, if you'd like to get technical, it could be a result of parenting.

Well, it's true. If a boy didn't have a father figure in his life from birth to present - didn't have that type of upbringing - he MIGHT like guys instead of girls.

Alternately, if a girl was raised without a mother figure, similar results would spawn from there.

However.

This DOES NOT mean that a homosexual couple would always raise a homosexual child.

The reality is that that is less likely to happen.

Why?

Becaaaaaaaaaause a homosexual couple can't produce children on their own, and therefore must rely on someone else to carry the child.

In other words, adoption.

Unless, of course, it was a lesbian couple, in which case they could go to a clinic and have one of their eggs fertilized.

We're getting off topic, though.

Gay rights = human rights.

Gay marriage = marriage.

Gay people = people.

Pretty simple.

Say I'm older and with my girlfriend. Say she gets really, really sick, or gets hit by a car and is close to dying. I couldn't see her in the hospital, I couldn't ride with her in an ambulance, or anything like that. Gay couples should have the same right to do that as any other couple. Think of how much your heart would break if you couldn't see your love before they died, or when they come close to dying... It is a painful thought.[
