Never tell someone to commit suicide. Ever. It's sick and intolerant in the extreme.
I was going to leave the issue alone, but I'd like to drop my 2 cents after reading this.
First off, no one deserves to die no matter their political opinion. Fine way of promoting your cause.
Second, marriage is not a right. It is not even mentioned in the Constitution. Therefore it is RIGHTLY left to the states, as per our nation's laws.
Now, you know what IS a right? The profession of one's political opinion. The RIGHT to vote for that opinion. You don't have to agree, you can hate it with a fiery passion, but one should fight to the teeth for someone else's right to speak. Argue if you would like, but never try to silence someone. Ever.
I am not for homosexual marriage for a variety of reasons. But I would die for someone's God-given right to vote for or against homosexual marriage. I support the rights of homosexuals to sleep with whoever they want so long as it is consentual and legal, whether I agree or not. I abhore any kind of bullying geared towards ANYONE, particularly the type of bullying that encourages suicide.
"I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the DEATH for your right to say it". Believe it or not, this applies to positions you may be entirely against. Because free speech IS defined in the constitution.
I guess I should go put a bullet through my head, because I deserve to die for my opinion. Is that what you're saying? Seriously? And you're calling others narrow-minded?
If this is what the world is coming to I may as well put a bullet through my head now.
