(Private, Brightflame only) Redstorm limped into the Medicine Cats' Den, muttering curses under his breath. Some stupid apprentice had forgotten to check the moss for thorns. His left flank had a lovely gash going across it, crimson droplets still oozing out.
Usually he never, ever came to this den. Usually to get him in here, Red would have to have White-cough or a life threatening injury. But recently he learned that his father had taken on the ways of a Medicine Cat. Since he and his adopted dad never used to have a chance to talk, this made a perfect opportunity to have a nice chat with Brightflame.
He sat down a few tail lengths within the den, his left leg sprawled out awkwardly. "Brightflame!" He called, his voice cracking. Those stupid apprentices, they never did anything! When he had been an apprentice, he would have loved to bring clean, good moss to the elders. Or check them for ticks. Granted, the first elder had retired during his early warrior days. But still! The youngsters these days had gotten beyond lazy, and now he had cats from another freaking clan walking around camp. He was barely getting any sleep these days, and he couldn't stand the stench of Treeclanners anymore.
He had to get out, and soon. He'd make sure Brightflame got someone to take him out for a walk, or else he'd claw a random apprentice over the eyes. That'd show 'em not to give the elders moss with thorns.

I look up from where I was sorting herbs. "I already told you I'm not hungry!" I shout. I look out of the herb store. "Ah Redstorm! What a pleasant surprise!" I say. I smile until I see how he is holding his leg, "Redstorm?" I pad over and investigate it. I see the large gash on it. "Stay right here." I say before rushing off into the herb store. I emerge a few seconds later with some cobwebs and other herbs. I chew some of the herbs and smear them on your wound, covering it with a cobweb. I let out a purr of laughter, "It's the apprentices right? They've been very...negligent lately." I smile, "It was a thorn right? You should probably stay here for today so that I can make sure it doesnt get infected."

Redstorm scoffed, watching as his father applied the cobwebs to his injury. "Apprentices haven't been good apprentices in moons. Treeclan being here is just making it worse." He growled, looking away from Brightflame.
"So, have you been training to be a Medicine Cat for long?" Redstorm had never bet on Bright being a Medicine Cat. When he retired his duties as a warrior, he was shocked. He couldn't remember Brightflame being all that into herbs, granted they never really talked.
At least now if he got sick he could actually come to someone he trusted to feed him herbs.

I chuckle softly, "I remember when I was an apprentice. I would get my eyes clawed out for doing something like that." I say. I lean forward, "The other day, the Treeclan apprentices brought me a week-old mouse! I didn't think it was that hard to pay attention." I say quietly, "Nowadays everybody is so obsessed with love, it's like they just become warriors to have mates." I sigh. "But anyway, how has your stay in the Elder's den been?" I ask, "Hopefully you haven't become a total grouch like the rest of them." I say, my eyes glimmering with humor.
