Apprentice at Last [Soft/open]

Diamondpaw eagerly padded into the apprentices' den, hardly daring to believe that she had finally made it. I can't believe it! No more sitting around the nursery getting bored with nothing to do! I can't wait to start training. Diamondpaw wondered if she could train with her best friend, Softpaw. Hopefully we can. After all, we got our ceremonies together. Diamondpaw looked around her new den for the first time. So this is what it feels like to be an apprentice. "Hello," she called, her voice echoing through the den. She was hoping someone would respond, she wanted to make some new friends.

Softpaw walked behind Diamondpaw. She observed Diamondpaw and heard what she had to say. "Hi, I can't believe we're both apprentices!"She said. "I'm going to train with Prairiesong soon!"Softpaw said.

"I can't wait until Talonfang gives me my first training session! I can't wait to explore the territory or learn how to hang and fight. I'm just so excited!" Diamondpaw squealed. "What do you want to learn first?" she asked Softpaw.

Softpaw listened to what Diamondpaw had to say. " Maybe hunting." She said. Her legs dropped down, she tried to pounce on Diamondpaw's tail. "So did you meet any other apprentices that you didn't know before?" Softpaw asked. She knew that she didn't meet any other apprentices.

[Diamondlight]

"I think I'd want to learn fighting. And not yet, really. The only apprentices I really know are you and Lilypaw, and she's almost a warrior. Have you met any other apprentices yet?" Diamondpaw replied, blinking her brown eyes. She was glad that they were inside the den, that way the hot sun was blocked out by the den walls.

Softpaw said"I've met you, Thunderpaw, Lilypaw, and Dustpaw. Im hoping that I could make more friends " She remembered the first time she maid friends. The first cat she met was Ravenkit, then Dustpaw, and then Swiftkit.

[Diamondlight]

"Well I guess I need to be more social. Maybe I might meet my future mate!" Diamondpaw joked. "Or I could just wait for him to find me...." she said dreamily, drifting off her words. She yawned, snapping herself back into the present. "When do you thinkwe'll get our warrior ceremonies? I know we just became apprentices, but...I just can't wait to be a warrior!"

Softpaw laughed at Diamondpaw's joke. "Im not sure when were going to be a warrior."She said. Being a warrior would be so cool she thought to herself. "We could even be mentors!"Softpaw said excitedly, imagining teaching an apprentice.

[Diamondlight]

"Oh, yeah, that would be fun. I just wonder if I have the patience for mentoring," Diamondpaw replied. "But it would be pretty cool to show an apprentice the territory and how to hunt and fight, like our mentors are going to do with us." Diamondkit remembered hers and Softpaw's apprentice ceremony. She had been so excited to have finally been made an apprentice. She wondered if that would be how her possible future apprentice might feel on their ceremony.

"Prairiesong looks like she likes having a lot of apprentices."Softpaw said. "Did you ever meet Thunderpaw? She's really nice and talkative."

[Diamondlight]

"No, I haven't met Thunderpaw. But she sounds like a nice cat. Maybe you could introduce us sometime!" Diamondpaw cheerily answered. "And I'm Talonfang's first apprentice. He was only made a warrior a couple of moons ago. Though it's kind of nice, having a first-time menor, ith not that muh experience."

"Cool." Softpaw said. "I wish some of the kits in the nursery thats friends with us could become apprentices soon."She said. Lots of my friends are in the nursery. At least I have my best friend she thought to herself.

[Diamondlight]

"Yeah, me too," Diamondpaw agreed dreamily. It would be nice if Ravenkit or Willowkit were here. "But at least we're together," she said, a little optimism in her voice. "Maybe if we're lucky, our mentors will let us train together."

"Yeah, maybe."Softpaw said. Her eyes looked outside of the apprentices' den to see their mentors. "I wonder if our mentors are friends, we could hunt and fight together if they are, or we could ask, but not right know."She mewed.

"Yeah, maybe I'll ask Talonfang later on," Diamondpaw mewed. "I'm not sure, but I think Prairiesong and Talonfang are friends, so it won't be too big of a deal." {godiamsolazy}
