I silently pad into the den with a mouse swinging from my jaws. I had heard part of the conversation as I was walking up to the den, so I pad over to and sit in my nest near the edge of the den, deciding to not speak quite yet, so instead I start on my mouse.

I think back. "Oh yeah! Now I remeber you. You must have had a different name back then." Emberassed, I quickly finish my mouse without speaking, which reminds me of an idea. "Me and Softpaw came up with an idea the other day."

"Now I remember you!" I exclaim, the memory suddenly rushing back. "I wonder why Hawkstar changed your name. It gets pretty confusing sometimes." I blink and look down at my mouse. "Also, Softpaw came up with an idea to take the fur off of our prey and use it as bedding, sort of like how you put feathers in your nest, but fur doesn't float away."

"Like this, I think." I look down at my mouse, then carefully shred off it's fur with my claws, leaving scraps of fur hanging from them. "A bit more ragged than expected," I purr. "But it works! That was a good idea, Softpaw."

Softpaw nodded with an agreement. She didn't know what to say, it was nice to be complimented, I think that was a compliment.
