(Okay.) Aspenpaw caught up, and suddenly saw a mouse. She crouched down, and pounced, gracefully catching a mouse. Her teal eyes shimmered with pride, as she padded back over to Cavernpaw.

Cavernpaw stared admiringly at Aspenpaw. "What a catch!" he praised. Looking around, he spotted a squirrel scuffling in the undergrowth. Dropping into a crouch, Cavernpaw crept forward and pounced, killing the squirrel with a blow. Cavernpaw returned to Aspenpaw's side and dropped his catch to the ground

Aspenpaw purred. "You did a great job too."she told Cavernpaw, a sweet smile on her muzzle. She saw another mouse dropped into the hunter's crouch, sprang, but missed. She felt embarrass that she missed it in front of Cavernpaw.

"Bad luck" Cavernpaw mewed sympathetically. "But that mouse is plenty. How about we take our prey back to camp and then eat?" he mewed. Cavernpaw could hear his belly rumble

"Sounds great!'' Aspenpaw said staring to walk towards camp. She smiled, thinking about how great being a warrior would be.

Cavernpaw tripped up on a bramble. "Fox dung!" he spat as Aspenpaw passed him, then untangled himself and raced forward

Skidding to a halt, Cavernpaw mewed "Are you okay?" he asked the pretty silver tabby

"Yeah.. just hit my head. I'll be okay. Thanks." Aspenpaw said, shaking it off. She had dropped her prey, so she picked it back up.

"In that case..." Cavernpaw picked up his prey and hurried again in the direction of the camp, getting within sight of the entrance

Nilla followed them silently, a small smile on her mouth. She leaped, landing on a sparrow and continued to follow them, matching their paces.
