After a long consideration, along with a dreamless night, Hornetpaw had decided to apologize. He'd lost a friend. His first friend, his best friend. Even if they couldn't be together the way he imagined, Swanpaw was one of a kind and he just couldn't let someone like that go. Thus, he trotted in with a I'm-so-sorry gift, a nice little rabbit. And with a small happy grin, he glanced around for that black and white pelt of her's.

Swanpaw had just got home from a hunt when she noticed Hornetpaw. She decided to go over there to see what was up. "Hey," she greeted plainly, sitting down across from him with a weak smile. Her blue eyes were plain, not their usual glimmer.

Smiling weakly, he nosed the rabbit over to her. “I'm sorry.” The calico apprentice said, avoiding her radiant blue eyes. “For everything.” More than anything else, he wanted her forgiveness. Nothing else could patch up his wounds. Granted, Hornetpaw knew that is was time to give up; everything was the way it was, and he had excepted the fact he couldn't change it. But he was sorry for what he'd done. Everything he'd done. How he'd acted. What he'd said. All the times he'd hurt her.
He was sorry.

She grinned at him. "Are you serious?" she said. Her eyes lit up and she nudge him in a friendly way. "You don't know how much your apology means to me," she whispered. Swanpaw let go and then looked at him again. "Apology accepted." Her eyes shined as she gave his cheek a lick.

Those eyes. Those perfect, sapphire eyes. He looked to the ground with a smile planted on his face, internally bursting with a mix of joy and relief. Bunny gazed up from the den floor, his tabby calico ears flattened in embarrassment as Swanpaw gave him a lick on the cheek. Hot under his pelt, the tall apprentice grinned over at the gorgeous black and white femme. But he knew better than to do the same, with Frostpaw and all. And he respected that. “How are you?” He asked, knowing it was such an overused topic. But he did want to know; she'd been having a rough time for a while, and he was concerned.

"Better now," she explained, "You were the only reason that I was concerned. Although, I did injure my paw the other day. It's still bruised, and I limp a little, and I have a cut on my shoulder that is going to scar, but I'm fine other than that." She met his eyes and then blurted, "Ive missed you as my best friend."

The handsome tabby's eyes widened slightly at the sudden outburst, “I've missed being your best friend, too, Swany.” Hornetpaw said. And with a smile tugging at the corners of his lips, he met the femme's eyes. Those eyes; flawless blue, shining back at him. He felt as if he could drown into a blue ocean. “I need you,” he murmured; he needed her to be his friend again. No, his best friend again.

"Alright then," she grinned at him, "Best friends again." She gave his cheek a nude, blue eyes shining.

“Good,” he replied with a small smile. Giving Swanpaw a quick lick on the cheek, he padded off to the training area right near the camp. That's were he'd been going for the past days to let out all of his emotions, along with improving his battle skills.

"Want to play fight?" she asked with a smile, following him happily.

Spinning around to face her, Hornetpaw tilted his head. “Play fight?” He asked with a soft laugh. “Okay then,” the tall calico tabby sat down, curling his tail around his paws, a grin on his face.

Smirking, the she-cat dropped into a crouch, growling playfully.

He laughed in amusement, his yellow eyes shining for once in a long, long time. Bunny crouched down low and attempted to playfully pounce on his friend.

He landed on her. She struggled to get up, but paused just to look into her best friend's eyes. She grinned a little, blue eyes shining. If anything were to happen right now, it would be her fault.

Again, he laughed. And again, he was trapped in those eyes. Smiling softly back at her, Hornetpaw stood up, “Ha! I win Round One, Swany!”
