So my question for you all is what is your view on the afterlife? I, personally, believe in re-incarnation. but to me that doesn't mean that everyone is a re-incarnate. I Think this because I sometimes experience flashbacks of things that I have no business knowing. Little moments in my life where I go back, see things, and snap back into the present. So What Say You?

I believe that once we die, we will ALL face the one true Lord Jesus Christ. And once we face Him, He will decide whether or not we go to Heaven or Hell. To live with Him forever in a place without pain or tears or war or anger. (eternal life) Or to suffer in the lake of fire for all eternity. (eternal death) If you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, you will be saved. (i'm also naturewind and Arrowpaw. u can pm any one of these accounts 4 questions.)

I feel like, "Did I just read the Bible?" Haha no. I've never read the bible.
I believe in re-incarnation too! Though I have so many questions about it.... Like, I try to blend science and "magic" into one. I actually wrote an entire document about things that we can't explain and that are so weird. I don't always show everybody it because it messed by personal view of things and it might mess up yours. I'll post it. I could do it in another thread. I guess I'll just post a little paragraph from it.
Different lives/Re-incarnation Let’s say Person 1 dies. Let’s call her Sally. So Sally dies. And she’s on her way to to be re-born. Would it take time for her to get out of her old body? Would she see other spirits?
Why don’t people remember their old lives? According to the Bhuddist religion, the great lamas (priests) do remember their past lives. I forget why.... During Ancient Greek times, people were sent to the Underworld. Those who were bad went to Tarturus, where they were eternally tortured. Those who led good and bad lives went to Fields of (?), where they were bored out of their wits. Those who were good, went to Elysium, where they partied. Those who achieved Elysium, and possibly Fields of (?), had the chance to go to be reborn. But first they went to the Pool of Lethe, which was powerful enough to wipe the memory of a god. Then they were sent to be reborn.
In the bhuddist tradition, the Holy Lama (high priest) would tell them where he would be reborn before he died, (because he could do stuff like that,) and the lamas would set off. It was a very precise place and there would be a baby. Then they would set out the old stuff of the llama amongst hundreds of other people’s stuff and the baby would pick out the lama’s stuff. So they believed in reincarnation.
Yes I wrote that all. All of that is true too. Though all the facts are from memory....
Anyway, there's always those little backfires in what you believe.... I'm Atheist if you care.

Yeah....I DON'T believe in re-incarnation. I believe when you die, you will face God and either go to Heaven or Hell. Believe or dis-believe what I believe in, but just don't say,*in annoying nasal-like voice* "Ooh, you're wrong. That stuff so stupid, ooh." You know what I mean? I just don't want anyone saying that, k?

I wonder who's religion is right. But I guess I'll never know. So, I'm what you would call, and Atheist. I wasn't brought up Christian. Having a Sun in Capricorn, I'm very business-like and snappish. I don't take moonshine from anyone. I wasn't given reasons that Christianity was correct, therefore I have no cause or basis to believe in it. I've taken opinion from my friends, my family, plain strangers, then devise my own beliefs. Dat's da vay I vork.

(love ur siggy, snow! ) Well, if you take it from me, Christianity is the right religion. But I know you won't believe me since every other religion says the same thing - that THEIR religion is right. I don't really know what to say or do to convince you that Christianity is right, but if you don't want me to do anything, I won't.

(Thanks.)
I don't think anybody is really a strict Christian anymore. Nobody follows the Bible EXACTLY. And to me, Christianity is a little sexist. Like God. Um, there's no Goddess, right?

Right. There is no goddess. Only God. And no one - even when the Bible was still being originally written - never followed God's rules/commandments EXACTLY. We were ALL sinners and still are. And just wondering, why do you think God and Christianity is a little sexist? I'm not offended or mad, just curious as to why you think that.

Well....God isn't really a PERSON, He's a spirit. I'm not sure WHY He's called 'He'. He was never BORN. He was just....HERE. And He made our Human minds to where we can't comprehend that. It's really a test of Faith - of whether or not we believe He was just here and we can't explain why.

I'd like to point out that nobody can say their religion is right, because nobody has died and come back. And if you say "Plenty of people die for a few seconds or whatever and come back to life"
That's not the same, and not long enough to see the afterlife, if there is one. People can /say/ they saw a god, or god, or spirits, or blackness, but in truth nobody probably knows what they saw. Why? 'Cause they were, technically, dead.
So if you want to believe in what your books and priests say, fine. But I'm just gonna wait until I die. >>

Naturewind, some types of Christianity are sexist. Most Christians believe that we are all born sinners, and that is elaborated in the Bible with, essentially, whatever comes from a woman is sinful because of original sin. It also goes on to say that men should be dominant, etc.
It's five AM and I haven't slept yet, so I won't type much. But yeah. >.>

I believe when we die, our spirit stays on earth for 7 years, making sure your loved ones greiving has completley subsided, letting them live well, then you get reincarnated into a new person, or animal. so dere ya have it folks. my point of view.

Snow~ I am a Christian, very much so. Yet I believe that ever religion is right. I believe mostly in Christianity. But then again my priest said heaven is what you believe it should be. So if Christians are right, then that means other religions exist because of one's heaven. Yet that makes no sense. So say what you want.

very initeresting, but also, the christian religion says all nonbelievers go to hell, and hell is always the same thing, so if christianity is true, the other religions technically would not exist because you would not go to heaven, because you are a nonbeliever. but I see what you are trying to say.
