Nightpaw walked out of the apprentices den looking back at the other sleeping apprentices, she spotted Jaypaw, looking peacefull in his sleep, she turned her head and stalked towards the fresh kill pile looking for what she might want to eat.
"Rabbit, thrush, mouse, vole, or starling?" she asked her self out loud, not wanting to pick a large piece of prey so she could save it for the elders and Beechstar. She chose the vole and padded over infront of the apprentices den to eat.

Jaypaw, as Nightpaw had seen him, was still quite in a deep sleep, ears twitching idly on the top of his head as he dreamed about his old home. He wished for the dream to come true, but alas, he knew he couldn't do that. The once lush green forest that he called his home was gone. Probably forever. But what bugged the young tom most was a question he had repeated over and over in his head.
Why was CloudClan doing this to them? First, there was the fire. Then came the FireClan raid. Why were they blessed with such horrible events? Was it because TreeClan had just wronged them in any way? Or was it because they wanted TreeClan to change? Jaypaw could only ask and guess.
At this, his eyelids parted to reveal glassy amber eyes, still full with drowsiness from the exciting day he had yesterday with two she-cats, namely Nightpaw and Oriolepaw. Fun, those felines were. They seemed very much like him. He looked around, seeing a familiar grey tabby pelt by the den entrance. Licking his calico fur clean, Jaypaw hoisted himself up easily to his white paws and padded over quietly to his den-mate, Night. Smiling his captivating smile as always, Jay sat by her, gazing at the regrowing camp of his beloved Clan.
"How's the vole, Night?" Jay asked the tabby, his amber gaze now set on the feline beside him, his tail teasingly wrapping around Nightpaw's before releasing it and curling around his paws instead.

Nigtpaw looked up at Jaypaw, "Pretty good for something surviving in these dead woods," she laughed, "want some?" she asked pushing it twards Jaypaw.
The tom looked tired and worried, almost as if she he had a nightmare, and she wondered what it was, she sat up and curled her tail around her paws. The saftey of Jaypaw looking over her made her relax her muscles, as a hawk screeched from far off. "You ok?" she asked, wanting him to feel the same way around her.
Shifting in her seat she waited for an answer, her tail flicking back and fourth as she waited, the small bird chatter bringing her spirits down. She wondered where her mom was now, in Cloudcan, hopefully looking down at her.

Jaypaw laughed along, smiling his thanks as Nightpaw offered part of the vole to him. "That would be a good thing." The calico tom-cat mewed with a chuckle, lowering his broad head and ripping part of the flesh from the deceased creature's body, chewing the meat and swallowing, licking his mouth to get rid of the warm blood.
Jaypaw continued eating, uncurling his tail around his paws quite involuntarily and curling it around the grey tabby, his amber eyes full of tease and playfulness. In truth, Jay was almost like a kit in the Nursery, doing what kind of mischievous things there. You okay?, Night asked him, making his ears perk at the sound of her voice. "I'm fine. Just haven't slept right, that's all." He answered coolly, finishing his vole and burying it underneath the soil.
"So .. wanna do something? Like, go for a walk?" The calico apprentice asked the tabby beside him quite lazily, amber eyes darting up to the sky.

"Sure sounds good," Nightpaw said," licking her paw and cleaning the mouse leftovers from her jaws, "where to?"
She picked up the remains of the mouse and carried them behid the nursery to drop the remains and padded back to the apprentices den, where Jaypaw hadnt moved, his muscular figure shining in the sun with briliant radiance, she shivere and her tail stuck out. He looked almost golden in the sun, even with his calico pelt, she swore she almost fiented, but she didnt and kept walking back twards Jaypaw.
"Ready?" she asked.

Jaypaw smiled, batting at Nightpaw's ears gently before standing up. "How 'bout near the IceClan borders? The view is amazing. You have got to see it." The calico suggested with a bright voice, curling his tail around Night's and tugging at it. "Come on!" He said with a purr rumbling deep from his throat. Before he waited for the answer, the calico had already started trotting out to the territory, his tail waving behind him like a two-leg's fabric flag.
Jay continued on, stopping by the IceClan border, just in time to see the sunrise. His amber eyes reflected the sun's blinding light, making it look like his eyes was one with the sun's rays. If only Finchpaw was with him .. How he missed that lovable grey ball of fur. Sighing and shaking his head, he waited for the grey tabby to show.

Nightpaw turned and looked around before following Jaypaw to the Iceclan border, the regrowth of the forest was a good sign. She sighed and pushed through the nettles and ferns sniffing around for any scent of prey. Some good fresh prey is just what the clan needed, and if she got in trouble for this, it might bandage some of the punisments.
Nightpaw reached the border where Jaypaw was waiting for her, deep in thought apprearently, the firey sun mingling with his eyes. Walking up to him she sat down and looked into the border, a cool welcoming breeze comming from Iceclan, reminding her that Greenleaf wouldnt last forever.
"Its nice here," Nightpaw mewed calmly, " nice cool breeze, but also that would be bad during leaffall," she destparitly wanted to lean against Jaypaw and feel his embrace, but she didnt know what exactly he felt yet, so she didnt.

“Nice, right?” Jay asked her with a playful grin, wrapping his tail around the she-cat’s body, his amber eyes still focused on the rising sun. Dawn had always managed to amaze the young calico, despite the mere fact that everyday of his life, he had watched the sun rise to its highest peak, and retire as the sun set, making way for the oncoming nigh that easily swept through his home. A sigh of content escaped his maw and he closed his eyes for a mere moment.
Jaypaw smiled happily at this and finally turned to Nightpaw as the sunrise was complete. “Shall we go back, darling Night?” The calico-pelted apprentice asked, standing and padding back to Camp, jumping into the tunnel that led to the hidden Camp. Jaypaw let his white paws take him back to the Apprentices’ Den, hopefully with the pretty grey tabby she-cat following right behind him.

Nightpaw nodded and padded after Jawpaw, the sun had already spread to the camp and warmth spread through everything. After entering the gorse camp entrance she sat down in the shade of a small stone and began to clean the burrs and what ever other materials might have stuck to her pelt. She had gotten a thorn stuck in her paw, but it was minor and she pulled it out easily and licked it.
Turning on her side she yawed and tried to take a nap on the cool dirt floor, looking around for Jaypaw before she fell alseep.

The calico tom was just about to ask Nightpaw the very question that had bugged him for the past few days when he saw that she had fallen asleep. Chuckling lightly at this, Jaypaw stood and licked the top of the grey tabby apprentice's head before gently grabbing her scruff and putting her over his back, carrying her to her nest and putting her back down again quietly as not to wake her up. “Sweet dreams, Night.” The young apprentice whispered in her ear before padding back to his own nest and laying down, closing his amber eyes.

(about an hour later) Nightpaw awakes, Jaypaw in his nest next to her. Getting up and stretching she tries to be quiet and let Jaypaw sleep in more. All the other apprentices are out and about, she licks his ear gently and pads out of the den and into the midday sun that emediately makes her fur feel on fire she runs for the shade the apprentices den and peeks out. "Come on trees grow back!" she hisses to herself.
A warrior pads into the clearing and qiuckly drops in prey then runs out of the sun. Night giggles and sits down.
