Birchpaw walked into the apprentice's den, her tail curled around her paws as she sat down in her nest. Glancing at the nest next to her own, Birchpaw sighed. The scent of her best friend lingered strongly, yet, the undersized apprentice hadn't talked to him in such a long time. Fangpaw had probably been spending too much time with the she-cats that flocked him wherever he went. Either that or he was training with his mentor he thought was beautiful. Birchpaw chuckled, thinking about how so many of the apprentices were already falling in love. Birchpaw was perfectly fine without any crushes, though she had a tiny, tiny one. The small she-cat preferred training.
Anyway, Birchpaw just wanted to see her best friend, you know, catch up on things. They hadn't talked in a while and she was missing him. Birchpaw lied down slowly and dropped her head on the edge of her nest with a huff. She let out a sigh and watched the den entrance, hoping he would enter, or at least someone would enter.

Fangpaw's yellow eyes flashed outside camp. Dropping a mouse onto the fresh kill pile he smiled, satisfied. His own stomach grumbled and he snatched up a finch. Around camp many cats were eating and sharing ongues but Fangpaw wasn't in the mood to be around everyone. If anything, he wanted Birchpaw's company.
Sliding into the apprentice den he let out a contented purr, spotting the young she-cat in her nest. Walking towards her he sat down the finch, poking her side lightly. "So, what has my favorite kitty been up to these days?" he meowed. It had been a long time since it had just been the two of them, and he nuzzled his head with hers.

Birchpaw looked up happily, nuzzling him back. She gestured for him to sit with her. She wanted to talk to him, for, she hadn't gotten a chance to talk to him much at all lately. She figured he was too busy with his she-cat followers. But, Birchpaw didn't care. She knew that Fangpaw would always have a bit of time for his best friend. She wanted to talk to him about Ospreysoar, and what he just confessed to her, but, the undersized she-cat was afraid he would be hurt. Birchpaw didn't know if her best friend had a crush on her or anything, so, she figured she would only tell him if he asked.
"Training has been up and running, and better. Rushingheart says I have only one more training session then my warrior ceremony!" Birchpaw purred, licking his nose playfully. She tried to be happy, but, the confusion of her emotions showed in her eye, and slightly in her words as she held back tears of confusion.

(I do believe my presence was requested? ;D)
A black-furred apprentice edged his was carefully into the apprentices' den. He was smiling widely as if he had just heard something funny; Pikepaw sometimes had an upbeat personality - but it tended to not appear very often. His long canine teeth were quite prominent, but he didn't really care anymore. Nothing he could do about it, right? He had been born this way after all; might as well make the most of it.
The green-eyed tom padded over to Birchpaw and Fangpaw, still grinning. He didn't know these two, but then again, he didn't speak to many cats. "Hello there, I'm Pikepaw," he greeted cheerfully. His fur was somewhat messy, but then again, he didn't care much about that. Pikepaw just wanted to speak to someone new and exciting today. He wasn't much for chatting, but hey, why not?

Birchpaw smiled to Fangpaw, then heard more footsteps coming their way. She swiveled her head, along with the rest of her body, and saw a black furred tom. Birchpaw stood up, greeting the tom with a nod. She listened to his name and smiled in a friendly, polite way. Birchpaw looked back at Fangpaw, wondering if he was going to come as well.
"I am Birchpaw, and this is Fangpaw." She meowed kindly, smiling at the tom in front of her. She wondered who his mentor was, how close he was to becoming a warrior, if he was a sibling of hers. Usually, when Birchpaw encountered a new cat, a million questions that she really didn't bother asking crowded her mind.

Fangpaw couldn't ignore the mix of emotions that clouded Birchpaw's gaze. He would need to talk to her lately, it seemed as though it was needed. What had he missed? I'm a horrible friend. he thought. What kind of friend couldn't even notice when his best friedn was going through something tough? Shaking his head to clear the thoughts he looked up to see a black tom, his green eyes bright.
Pikepaw? I can see why... he thought. However, as Fangpaw often was, he was a sucker for the outcast cats. Smiling he offered a paw to the young cat. "As Birchpaw already mentioned, i'm Fangpaw. Nice to meet you Pikepaw." he purred. Stretching his limbs he sat down, looking between them all. A thought occurred. "Anyone up for 20 questions?" he asked. It was an interesting way to get to know others.

( Oh, my computer just froze and deleted the post I was making. Yayyyy. -.- )
Pikepaw sat down and curled his tail around his paws. "It's nice to meet both of you," he meowed in an amiable tone as Birchpaw introduced herself and Fangpaw. He spared a friendly nod to Fangpaw. "Twenty Questions? I've never heard of it, but sure. I'm up for a game." The emerald-eyed cat grinned, his ears angled toward the other tom.
Well, Pikepaw had no secrets. Everything about him was just about as obvious as his long teeth; he had no reason to hide things. The apprentice hooked a scrap of moss absentmindedly on one of his claws, tossing it to the side and then pouncing on it suddenly. He straightened up a moment later, remembering that he wasn't a kit anymore. Then again, he was naturally full of energy, and he didn't care what others thought of him.
He padded over to his nest, which wasn't far away, and settled down to wait for the game to begin. Might as well be comfortable as long as movement wasn't required. Pikepaw lapped at one paw and drew it over his face slowly. It would be interesting to get to know some new cats, anyway.

Birchpaw turned around ad lied down calmly in her nest, paws flopping out of the nest. The undersized apprentice looked at Fangpaw, also wondering what the game was that her best friend mentioned earlier. She looked at Pikepaw in his nest, not to far off at all. She smiled weakly, growing a bit impatient.
"What is 20 questions anyway?" Birchpaw asked Fangpaw, knowing Pikepaw already asked him the same question. But she didn't care, all she wanted to know was what it was. Also, she wanted to talk to Fangpaw in private at some point.
