A gaunt tortoiseshell she-cat made her way into the medicine cat den. She couldn't recall ever having been here before, but she could only hope that there was some sort of medicine cat around here nowadays. Having just been rescued from FireClan after moons of being held hostage, she was badly underweight and somewhat frail.
Maplefrost let out a ragged cough as she settled herself down in the middle of the den. Probably the most important issue at the moment was her mental state. She'd been driven half-insane by her extended stay in enemy territory, and now her nerves were more than frayed. I'll just see if there's anyone around to do something for me... Maybe a medicine cat would be able to help me out here.

(Nobody reads the threads that I make. Like the one that said I would be gone for a few weeks. XD) I hear a thump in the main den, racing towards the sound, I see you laying on the floor. "I'm running out of room in her." I mutter before stepping closer and examining you thoroughly. I nod to myself and race back into the herb store, grabbing Thyme and several other calming ingredients. I come back with two bundles, and lay the first one down in front of you. "Eat these." I say simply, setting the other one aside.

"Oh, Brightflame. Thank CloudClan you're around," the tortoiseshell meowed rather hoarsely. She sniffed at the bundle of herbs weakly, narrowing her dull green eyes before stretching out her neck and chewing up the thyme, swallowing it with a grimace. She was never a big fan of herbs, but it was far better than suffering without aid. Maplefrost always found it rather unsettling that she knew nothing about what she was eating, but she supposed that the medicine cats knew what they were doing. She let out a small sigh as she rested her chin on her paws.

I smile reassuringly, "That should help calm you, but it won't make you tired. First, I need you to tell me EXACTLY how you feel, then tell me everything that happened." I instruct. (Sorry it's short, I'm just checking everything before I go to bed.)

"Well, honestly, I just want to curl up in a corner and never wake up again." The warrior let out another sigh, feeling relieved that Brightflame was here to help. At the same time, it wouldn't be easy to re-live the tale again. "It's a very long story," she began. The tortoiseshell twitched her tail-tip. "I'll just give you a summary."
"Many moons ago, I was walking near the FireClan border with Birdshadow when Sparrowfur appeared. She told us that our father was not of IceClan, as we had been led to believe for so long. In reality, our father was Hawktalon." Maplefrost winced as she let the truth slip out; she wasn't entirely IceClan after all. In fact, she wasn't even HalfClan - it was worse than that.
"Sparrowfur led us back to FireClan to talk to him, but we never got the chance. Darkstar held us prisoner, and even after my brother escaped, I was kept in an old badger set in the territory. They hardly fed me, and it's a miracle that Mossfeather came back with Birdshadow when she did. I don't know what I would have done if I'd stayed much longer."
She closed her eyes, shaking her head. The events of the past day had overwhelmed her. To think that Wildstar had never even sent help... what kind of a leader did that? "But you see, things are even more complicated. Hawktalon abandoned his Clanmates and his kin in FireClan to become Hawkstar of RockClan. So what does that make me? TriClan? I'm not even sure anymore. I just... wish this all had never happened."
The long-furred cat broke off into a coughing fit, her throat feeling sore. Moons of starvation and torment had taken their toll on the once-proud cat. She managed to stop coughing after a moment, though. Maplefrost was feeling a little better from the herbs; at least she didn't feel the need to hurl herself off the nearest cliff anymore. But that didn't change the fact that her life was in ruins, and she was in no state to begin dealing with it. She buried her muzzle in her paws, feeling frustrated and useless.
