The clearing ground was dappled with pale moonlight , the night flourishing. A shadow cat spread across the ground , moving slowly and un-surely. Lynxpaw stood there , staring up at the moon. It wasn't full yet , close to. The gathering would be soon , yet he didn't think it would be the best. Having Darkstar and her kit stealing fetish , the clans are outraged. It would be a disaster.
His head turned toward the apprentice's den , his intense blue eyes watching the dark entrance that was cloaked by shadows. The grey tabby brought his gaze back to the moon , and keeping them there. Most nights he couldn't sleep , so Lynxpaw often found himself out in the clearing or just inside the den. Getting to his feet , he returned to the apprentice's den. He might have gotten in trouble for being out that late , better safe than sorry.

Awaken by the sounds of creatures outside the den, Thresh began to stretch herself out from lack of comfort during sleep. She sat up after her exercise and gave a big yawn. The moon still shone and by the looks of it it looked to be morning in a few hours. Her head turned toward the front of the cave after seeing an object move out of the corner of the eye.
She didn't waste another second. A predator perhaps? Has a spy come to our camp? What did he want with apprentices? Thresh lept to the shadows, as quiet as a lite whisper. She snook over to the opposite side of the cave, the darkness being her only camouflage.
The object suddenly stopped and looked behind itself to where she hid. Not a second more. Here was her chance! All her training finally paid off! Thresh lept from her position onto the cat. She had pinned it on the ground, her sitting on top of it, arms and legs on both sides of the cat's body. As Thresh was about to bite at the cat's ear she suddenly stopped. "Wait a second. I know those eyes," she said to herself. "Lynx?"

Sorry , I was camping. Before he had time to react , a sudden weight came over him , barreling him to the ground and pinning him. Ready to use his claws , he prepared to launch his attacker untill their voice split the silence. "Yes , it's Lynxpaw." He replied , letting out a hiss of frustration before pulling himself out from under her paws. "Threshpaw , correct? I've seen you around." He said blandly , smoothing his fur down.
Looking at the silver she-cat , tipped his head slightly. "What are you doing up so late? I couldn't sleep. I can't sleep most nights." Lynxpaw said truthfully , he was often out and about at night.

[Dats okay. xD]
Thresh sat back and looked at Lynx, laughing. And to think you thought he was a trespasser. "I'm always up late well that is if I can't sleep. I'm sorry. I become very defensive when it comes to predators or stray cats. I thought you were another cat from Fireclan or somewhere." She stood up and decided to sit next to Lynx. There was something about him that gave her these tingly feelings. It was hard to hold them back but she managed. "Hungry?" The grey cat looked up into his eyes, her eyes sparkling their ocean blue, shining brighter in the darkness of the cave.

He nodded slowly. "It's alright. I'm just glad some cats still care about keeping the clan safe. Most apprentices are too busy with ... Other things." He spat the last words like they were venom on his tounge. "Fireclan?" He chuckled , flicking his grey striped tail. "I'd rather live with Iceclan!" It was true , he would rather. He certainly didn't want to live with a kit stealing clan - or be part of it. Fireclan was mad , all of them.
"A bit , I suppose. I haven't eaten since sundown." He glanced up at the sky , the moon shining brightly above the duo , now past moonhigh. Standing , he made his way to the pile , pawing through it. Narrowing his eyes , he picked out a robin. Picking it up in his jaws , he sat beside Threshpaw once again. "Here , we can share." He said through the robin's feathers and set it on the ground , pushing it toward the she-cat with a paw.

Thresh was overjoyed when the cat accepted to go eat something. She followed him out of the cave and to the foodpile where he sat down next to her with robin in his maw. They sat and ate the meal together, side by side. "Thank you, Lynx." She flashed him her best smile. "Um, Lynx, do you have someone special in your life?" She looked up at him, her eyes glowing brighter than ever.
The moonlight was just perfect. A romantic, casual evening with the cat she most perferred out of all the others. Thresh finished up the head of the robin, always going for the crunchy part, and sat next to him awkwardly. She wanted to just curl up around Lynx and fall asleep with his warm body against hers. She wasn't sure if she should or not, if he might push her away but she decided to try. Slowly, she moved her head closer, closer, and closer until it was resting on his shoulder. When nothing seemed to happen yet, she laid down next to him, waiting for him to do the same.

Lynxpaw bent over and bit into the robin's stomach. It was the more meaty part of the bird, the part he enjoyed the most. The flavours danced on his tounge, and filled his own stomach. "It's no problem," He said , licking his maw. "It's nice to share some freshkill with a clanmate everyone once and a while." There was nothing better than being clanmates , it was the best.
The grey tabby pricked his ears at Threshpaw's question , his fur prickled with embarrassment. "Err .. I don't. I don't know if I ever will. Maybe some day." He replied , looking away from the grey she-cat. He soon felt warmth on his shoulder and pressure was on it. Lynxpaw snapped his gaze to his shoulder to find Threshpaw's cheek resting on it. He flinched away , not used to cats being so close. He didn't know what to do , what was she trying to tell him?
His blue eyes only watched as she lay down beside him , his muscles wouldn't move. They felt stiff with shock and other things. "Uh .." Was the only thing Lynxpaw cod get out, he wasn't the best cat on 'love and things like that'.

Embarrassed the cat pulled away from her, she awkwardly sat next to him. Now what? You could tell him how you feel? No! That would be stupid. Does he not want to be in a relationship? The thought struck Thresh like a knife in her chest. "Doesn't want to be in a relationship?" She stared blankly at the dirt in front of her. Did he hear me? I hope not. Oh, what does it matter. He's not ever going to love me. Just quit while your ahead or else you'll be making a fool out of yourself. A tear slowly trickled down her face. Not once, not ever has she ever cried for something, someone, nothing. She must have really cared for this cat. Was she about to let him slip away? She hid her face so he wouldn't see her tears and slowly stood to her feet. She took one last look at him. His face. She couldn't ever stop loving him. She wouldn't ever stop loving him. Not ever.
The grey tabby slowly made her way back to the cave but didn't go inside. Instead, she took for the woods.
