Batoaw stretched his limbs to their full extension, his clear claws popping their joints. He gave a feirce yawn, his eyes following to open. Silver irises blinked away the dim llight. Seemed dawn hadn't waited. The black tom stood up, lightly shaking moss loose as he padded outside to meet the sunlight. He hadn't meant to nap for that long that was for sure. He looked around the daily bustle that Treeclan seemed to always have. Kits tumbled about while warrior tripped and scowled as they set about for their duties. Other apprentice had gotten a jump start in the day and were already getting moss for the day's chores. Being a bit slow as always, batpaw took a mouse from the pile and looked to under a tree fr a bit of shade to enlighten his breakfast. His glack pelt felt hot under the beat of the Leaffall sun, even with a cool breeze and light pelt, sweat gathered at his paws. When the bursh of tail on his nose came he stopped, hissing slightly in surprise. "Excuse me." Came the answer from him. His silver eyes gazed at the cat who had broken his concentration.

Midnightpaw sat boredly at the entrance of the apprentice's den. She almost never had training and didn't have many friends, if she had friends at all. She didn't know what to do. Suddenly, a sound came from beside her as a cat walked by. She wondered what he was doing. Usually, apprentices were training or doing chores, unlike her who didn't do much of anything. She decided to follow him, but it was hard. She couldn't see him and his smell got mixed woth the scents of other cats in the camp. She did manage to follow him though, even if it was at a distance. She smelled that he had picked up a mouse. That made it easier to follow him. he finally stopped at a tree. She kept walking hoping to say hi, so she wasn't as bored, but she wasn't sure how far away she was from him and ended up flicking him with her tail. "Sorry," She said embarrassed," I wasn't looking where i was going." She didn't like to tell people she was blind, so she blinked and acted as if she wasn't. "I'm Midnightpaw. Who are you?" She tilted her head and hoped he wouldn't ignore her like a lot of people did.

When Blossompaw saw her friend Midnightpaw she walked over to her. ''Hi Midnightpaw. Do you remember me? And who is that tom?'' She asked.

Batpaw looked at a black she-cat with blue eyes. It almost reminded him of a frosted pond. She hadn't been paying attention huh? "It's alright, I wasn't looking either." He grinned, his grey eyes glowing in the brassy sun. Batpaw, going against his name, was a social butterfly. He didn't enjoy solitude and liked being among his own kind. The black tom smiled once more before speaking his own name, "I'm Batpaw, nice to meet you." He sat neatly, curling his tail around his paws. His eyes traveled from Midnightoaw tto a white apprentice with green eyes. Apparently she knew Midnight. "Like before, I'm Batpaw. Nice to meet you Ms....." he trailed off since he had yet to know her.

Near the pile of fresh kill where the other three apprentices were, another shecat was around. Well, she was also caught in some thorns, growling softly as the tugged at her fur. "Of course this happens to me now." she huffed, trying to reach around and pull our a thorn from her back leg, not turning out successful. With a sigh, she ducked her head under a leaf to get a glance in the camp towards the three apprentices. Had they noticed her?
"Um.. Can one of you help me, please?" Not knowing them, she felt embarrassed to have to ask, but she couldn't spend the rest of her life as a thorn-covered cat, like some decoration.

Blossompaw saw a apprentice stuck in thorns. So she went over to her. '' I am Blossompaw. What is your name.'' Mumbled Blossompaw with thorns in her mouth.'' There you go. That was the last one.'' Said Blossompaw.

She leaped out of the spot where the thorns were after the stranger freed her. "Thank you, I thought I'd be there forever!" she purred good-humoredly. "My name's Runningpaw, nice to meet you, Blossompaw." she purred and duped her head. "I've heard about you, though, aren't you nearly a warrior?"

Batpaw looked over away from Midnightpaw to see a new apprentice. Runningpaw was her name. Jeez, had the she-cats killed all the toms? Was he next? Shoving away those negative thoughts he walked calmly up to the duo and introduced himself. "Batpaw, pleasure to meet you Runningpaw. May I call you Running?" He asked politely. He dipped his head to the she-cat then glanced down at the pile of thorns that were just recently plucked from her. "And how's you get stuck?" he asked, tilting his head at her.

Turning from Blossompaw, she noticed one of the other cats from the fresh kill pile had padded on over. "Batpaw, nice to meet you too." she mewed cheerfully. "And of course you can call me Running. I'll have to call you Bat, though." turning to the thorns, she felt the tips of her ears grow warm with embarrassment. "Well.. Heheh, you see, there was this tiny ledge thA I was going to leap off of, and I originally was supposed to land right there," she quickly used her fluffy gray tail to point to a spot just in front of the thorns, "but I missed it by a little. Just my luck." she smiled, shaking her ruffled pelt once more. "I guess I have to work on my agility if I ever want to be a warrior." she joked, turning back to the two apprentices.

Blossomfur looked at Runningpaw. ''Yes. I just received my ceremony. My name is now Blossomfur.'' Meowed Blossomfur proudly.

"Wow, congratulations!" she purred, dipping her head. "You're so lucky. I just got a mentor change.. I hope he's a good teacher." she laughed, before wondering what her warrior name could be. Running.. Eh, this was hard. Her long, gray fur was tipped with white, making her pelt sort of look like a dawn sky, but.. That didn't make for any good names. Runningdawn, Runningcloud, Runningsky? Mm.. Maybe.

Midnightpaw smilled as she listened to all the cats talk. There were a lot of cats here. "Wow,' Midnightpaw said when she heard that Blossompaw was now Blossomfur, "That's so cool. Do you have an appretnice yet?" She asked tilting her head. She looked at Runningpaw, "Who's your new mentor?" She asked. "Cool to meet you by the way, Batpaw." She said smiling. She hoped he wasn't getting overwhelmed with all the she-cats. there were a lot more of them then toms. She could just imagine what it would feel like to be the only girl in a group full of guys. She shuddered and turned back to the other two, waiting for the answers to her questions.

Blossomfur looked at the cats. '' Running your warrior name could be Runningcreek or Runningthorn or Runningclaw. No I do not have a apprentice yet.'' Mewed Blossomfur.

Batpaw grinned, "I like Runningcreek, or maybe Runningwind." He said tilting his head in stating his agreement. "I think I'd prefer my name to be Batwing or Batclaw, but I guess that's not really my choice is it?" He smiled sheepishly. He wasn't too good with names, never had been. He couldn't even come up with a suffix for Fire! He looked back at Midnight, smiling warmly, "What about your name? I think Midnightrain sounds cool, or Midnightsong. Although, both are sort of long to say." He laughed lightly, shuffling his black paws. [Blossom please try to lengthen your posts ]
