Oriolepaw blinked open her beautiful glossy blue orbs when the sun rays suddenly hit them. The black and white apprentice puffed up her fur and she almost like twice her size. While it was leaf-fall the crisp cold air was hard to escape. Soon it would frost, it was just about cold enough too. The crisp cold air bit her nose like an adder. Sitting up in her nest she noticed a few black pieces of fur sticking up so she bent over and rasped her tongue through her pelt making her as sleek as normal. Being a warrior was nearing while her mentor was going to give her assessment tomorrow. For sure the black and white she-cat was ready. Her mentor was Nettleflight...why wouldn't she be ready. Nettleflight was almost the strictest warrior of TreeClan.
Something that Oriolepaw hasn't really thought about till now was friends. Soon she would be a warrior without a friend.... Some cats could live with that but now Oriolepaw. The tuxedo apprentice has been focusing on training so much that she hasn't even given one thought about having a friend. And as well as not having friends she didn't want to have the reputation of an unsocial warrior. Friends were kind of almost life....
Now she wouldn't go up to someone and ask to be their friend like all those other apprentices that didn't really have a brain. Perhaps she should just put herself out there and meet some new apprentices or warriors and just take it from there.....

Cedarkit had just gotten back from training when he noticed a black and white she-cat laying alone in the camp. She looked like an apprentice, but he had never seen nor heard of her. Walking up to her he mewed, "Hi, I'm Cedarpaw, and what would your name be?" he smiled at her with his pearly white smiled, teeth sharp as quills.

Oriolepaw looked over her shoulder to see a light tabby tom right behind her. The tom said his name was Cedarpaw. "It's nice to meet you Cedarpaw. I'm Oriolepaw." she meowed with a very friendly welcoming smile. At least someone was talking to her. She hasn't had a friend since Nightpaw who was now a warrior and she has lost complete contact with her. So let's just say that Oriolepaw has no friends.
The tuxedo she-cat sat down and rapped her tail neatly around her paws. "So Cedarpaw. Who is your mentor?" she asked him with curiosity that pricked under her sleek black coat. The tom looked very kind and welcoming. It was nice when her fellow clanmates were like that. There were some cats out there that just wouldn't lighten up on anyone...except for their cold-hearted alliances.

"Nice to meet you," he bowed his head at the black and white she-cat, "My mentor is Greenflower, you would have trained with her right?" he mewed, turning his head a bit in a questioning like look, "Although, I wish I had gotten a male mentor, because I am a tom." he laughed.

Oriolepaw smiled at the kind hearted tom. "I don't know her but I'm pretty sure that she was an apprentice while I was. I should be a warrior very soon. My assessment it tomorrow." she meowed in pride. It was nice that someone was finally speaking to her. Her whole time of apprenticeship she had barely met any other apprentices.

"That sounds awesome!" he purred, "What do you want your warrior name to be? I want mine to be Cedarstrike, Cedarclaw, or Cedarfeather, because they all sound cool." he smiled at the apprentice once again. Looking at his paws in boredum he asked, "Want to do something, I'm seriously bored."

Oriolepaw thought for a moment. She tried to remember the name that she had come up with. "I was thinking about Oriolepride maybe." she told him with a smile of pride to show her happiness in the name. "Okay, what do you want to do?" It was a nice day so talking didn't sound very fun. Hopefully they wouldn't find something that she liked to do. Oriolepaw was a more active apprentice. Her lithe body made her very fast. It was an advantage in fighting and hunting both.

"Um, I'm not really sure," he mewed, tilting his head, "What do apprentices do besides train and get in trouble?" He smiled at his joke and got to his paws, "Well we could go collect moss for the elders, it's better than sitting around."

"That sounds good. Then we will be getting our jobs done." she told him. Oriolepaw padded to the entrance of the apprentices' den and looked back at the tom. "You coming?" she asked him. He seemed very nice and possibly she would gain a friend by the end of the day.

"Yepp I'm comming," he sprinted after the tuxedo apprentice and walked beside her as the walked out of the camp looking for moss, he knew one tree in the new camp so he took the lead at press paw speed (sprint) and arrived in no time at the site. "Here we are."

Oriolepaw followed Cedarpaw. He seemed to know very well where to find some moss so she followed closely behind. Once they came to a stop there was a huge tree in front of them and at the bottom was a whole bunch of great moss. "Great job!" she told him and started to gather some moss.

"Thanks," he purred, rolling the moss up under his chin and holding it there, waiting for Oriole to be done and ready to head back to camp to give it to the elders. "Ready?" he mewed, tucking his jaw tighter in an effort to hold the moss up.

Once Oriolepaw's jaw were as full as moss as possible she gave a nod with her head to signal that she was ready. She started walking in the direction of the camp. It was nice to actually socialize. She was missing out so much. But now she would have hopefully lots of friends.

Oriolepaw set her moss next to Cedarpaw's and followed him to the fresh-kill pile. "Sure. Vole please." she told him. That was her favorite and always would be. She left him and tried to find a nice spot to eat in. Suddenly she spotted a very grassy spot and the sun shone right on it. She lye down and watched for Cedarpaw to appear.
