Hollypaw padded acroos the clearing known as the IceClan camp. She was going to the elders den. She entered and saw there weren't many elders. What a shame. She wasn't told to come and do ticks, but she wanted to. She set down the Mousebile. "Elders! I'm here to check for ticks!" she called quietly.

"Huh, another apprentice here for work. This might be a record." He mumbled, mostly to himself.
"Here for ticks, eh? Good, I have one on my back that I just can't reach. Take care of it, please?" He said/asked, sitting down in front of the grey apprentice.
"So what are you in for? Training, punishment, or are you a rare kind soul?" He asked bluntly, looking over his shoulder.

She gave a small giggle while she was putting mouse bike on his back. "I wasnt told to, I just wanted to." she answered. It wasn't long before she had the tick off. "Do you have any more?" she asked.

"No, that'll do." He purred, flopping onto his side.
"So, you came here to be kind..That's new." He mumbled, licking one of his paws.

Her eyes sparkled as she picked up her supplies. "Really? You deserve a good attitude for serving your clan so long." she mewed. She set her things by the enterence and sat a tail length away from his nest with her tail wrapped around her paws.

"I'm glad someone thinks that way. Most cats around here really only talk nicely to me for stories. Others just try to rush out of here." He said quietly, beginning to clean his ears.
"How does the life of an apprentice treat you? Not too stressful, I hope."

(It's okay.)
She sighed. "It's okay I guess. Its just... I have a crush on this Tom. But I know my Best friend likes him too. He said he liked us both..." she paused. "I don't want to hurt my best friend." she whispered

Redstorm tried not to roll his eyes. No matter who the drama involved, or what kind it was, he couldn't bring himself to feel any sympathy. "Love is a strange thing. Sometimes you know who your life partner will be at a young age, and sometimes it could take nearly a lifetime." He mewed quietly, looking Hollypaw in the eye.
"Do you actually think you love this tom, or are you just falling for him right now?"

"I know I love him." she mewed. "But Cinderpaw said..." she stopped. "She said that he was her soul mate and she would be devastated without him... I could never hurt her like that."

"I can't say I've ever actually been in your situation. I only ever fell for one she-cat, and we've been mates for life. But I think I've been around long enough to give out some advice. Ask this tom who he actually loves, but don't pressure him. He can only pick one of you, or neither of you at all. So you and Cinderpaw need to agree not to hate each other over this."
Redstorm didn't understand apprentices today, with their little crushes, but he was sure warriors had felt the same way about his generation way back when he was an apprentice.

She shrugged. "I asked. He said that he didn't know..." she mewed. She walked over to the elder. She noticed he was washing himself earlier, but couldn't reach a spot. "I can help." she bent over and washed his fur where he couldn't get.

"Oh, thank you." While she got the spot he couldn't reach, he continued to clean his ears. "Also, if he doesn't know, he might just need some time or something." Ew he was keeping the small talk going.

When she was done, she sat next to him. "I have!" she mewed. "But he won't decide..." she stopped again. "So what's going on?" she changed the subject.

"Nothing, and I mean that. I haven't really done anything in a couple of moons, and I rarely get visitors." He didn't mind, though. He had always been somewhat anti-social, or at least he had been near the ending of his warrior days.

"Well that's too bad." she sighed. She nudged him. "Font worry! I'll still come visit you when I'm a warrior!" she purred .
