Yes, it's what you believe it is. A new apprentice was moving into the den. Not really such a big deal when one thought about it, many apprentices moved into it ever week.
But still, it was a feat for the twitchy, skittish little she-cat. She didn't react too well to new situations. But she would grow used to it, like she did the nursery. It would take time, and a building of confidence. A friend or two wouldn't hurt either.
Snakepaw was somewhere between excited and nervous. Excited for obvious reasons and nervous for obvious reasons as well. The apprentice den was relatively empty. She has a peice of moss in her mouth, the beginning of her nest. Finding a space in the outer ring of apprentice nests, she worked quickly, copying how the other nests looked. She was almost finished when a noise caught her twitching ears. She turned her head over her shoulder to see who it was.
“Hello?”

Apprentices' den. Yay.
Tumblingpaw had just been made an apprentice, but he couldn't care less. Apprentices were only slightly more mature than kits. And he'd seen way too many of those. Training seemed like an interesting prospect, because he would be trained by a warrior, someone who had enough sense not to play-fight or play mossball in public.
Congrats, Tumblingpaw. You've survived this long. Only six more moons of this torture and then out can move out and become a warrior, and you won't have to put up with these immature kittens.
Flattening his ears at the thought, Tumblingpaw sauntered over to his nest, which he had already made earlier. He turned his head and saw another cat working on another nest a fox-length away from him. Turning his head, his green eyes glittered as he watched the apprentice.
Well? A voice in the back his mind nudged. No mossball, no "I'm the clan leader," no play-fighting. Maybe you lucked out and just might have found someone normal.
Suppressing a sigh, Tumblingpaw stood up and padded over to the other apprentice. She heard him before he reached her, and called hello.
"Hello," Tumblingpaw mewed in reply, trying to do his best not to sound like he didn't care about their conversation.

Snakepaw looked this new cat over, her expression judgemental. He was giving off an emotion that seemed odd for Snakepaw. He seemed somewhat bored, maybe dissapointed, and definantley dissintrested. No matter, she would keep up a conversation anyway.
“Not what you expected it to be, is it.” Snakepaw said, it wasn't really a question. She was still new to this apprentice buisness so she didn't feel the same about it as he did. She finished up her nest.
“I'm Snakepaw.” She mewed quietly, turning fully around, her ears twitching, listening alertly for his answer.

"Not what you expected it to be, is it."
No. It isn't.
Tumblingpaw shook his head, his emerald green eyes glistening. Suppressing a sigh, he looked at his orange-and-white paws, and murmured, "You would think that it would be at least somewhat exciting, based on what the older apprentices say about it. You would think that, by now, at least, we would get to get a break from taking care of those filthy elders. But of course, being an apprentice is hardly better than being a kit. Instead of being prisoners confined to camp, now we're prisoners only allowed to go out with one of our 'wardens' with us. Ugh."
Tumblingpaw looked up as the apprentice introduced herself. "Tumblingpaw," he muttered. "don't you just wish, even a little, that we could be warriors now? I mean, I know it's just wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be nice if we could just skip this boring part of our lives and get on with the good stuff?"

“True, it's not as glamourous as I expected, taking care of elder's isn't exactly thrilling. And your right. We're pretty much treated like kits. I wish we could have a little more freedom.” She nodded her head in agreement. “I'm pretty sure they think all of us are sensless and stupid.” “Yeah, I wish I could skip it. ” Snakepaw agreed. She tilted her head a little.“And, if you don't mind me asking, what do you mean, is 'the good stuff'?”
