Mentors

[Snakekit]

Snakekit rushed into the warrior's den. He hoped he didn't disturb anyone- partly. "come on!" he said to Thistlekit. He was supposed to be following. Then he looked up. He needed a mentor.

[Thistleflame]

Thistlekit followed in after Snakekit, acting more timid than usual. "Are you sure we're supposed to be here? Can't we just let them come to the nursery?" He felt like he was breaking a rule, coming into the warriors den. Straightening up slightly, he said, "Hello? Is anyone there?" Maybe it was just his imagination, but his voice seemed to echo in the den. It seemed so...empty. Suddenly, he started to slightly freak out. What if they were all outside. It was, after all, daytime. They could be training their apprentices. But he had to get a mentor. With Snakekit.

[Snakekit]

"I'm sure they'll understand. " snakekit said, but he too was a bit nervous.

[Thistleflame]

"Hmmph. Just wanted to be sure." He hoped his voice wasn't trembling. Because that was what he was doing on the inside. He was scared that some warrior might be mad at them, and somehow punish them. Maybe by holding them back. Making them stay in the nursery while their younger friends moved on. One by one... No, they wouldn't be held back. Not for looking for a mentor. Nobody could blame them, they were eager to start training, and help their clan.

[Snakekit]

"I hope someone comes along soon." Snakekit said. "Other wise I'm starting to get freaked out."

[Thistleflame]

"I suppose we'll have to wait quite a bit before any of them come." Thistlekit lowered his voice. "I've heard that some of them are really lazy." He cleared his throat, and talked in his normal voice again. "I hope if anyone shows up, they'll be a good mentor. I don't want to be stuck an apprentice forever. That would be as bad as being stuck in the nursery forever."

[Snakekit]

"Yup. I hope we don't get lazy ones." Snakekit said. He looked around. The place looked empty.

[Thistleflame]

Thistlekit laid down, putting his head on his paws. He blinked once, shutting out the world from his dull green eyes. Then everything reappeared again, before he could notice it was gone. His tail with the black tip swished back and forth behind him, sweeping up a bit of sandy dust from the floor of the warriors den. He heard a bird chirping outside, singing a song, which was rather unusual, since it was leafbare. The sound of the bird brought Thistlekit jumping up. "You know what? I'm not staying here while there's a bird outside. Tell me if a warrior comes." He walked to the entrance, and stepped outside. He was hit by a blast of cold air, but it was fresh air, unlike the air in the den. He took a deep breath of the crisp mountain air, and sat down.

[Cinderstorm]

Cinderstorm padded into the warrriors den and found two kits. "What are you two doing in here?" She asked gently.

(lazy)

[Snakekit]

"We are here to find mentors." Snakekit said glancing at Thistlekit.

[Thistleflame]

At last! The sound of a warrior's voice. Thistlekit leapt back inside, seeing a gray she-cat. "Yeah, we're here to find mentors. We're both old enough to be aporentices, so we thought..." This was even worse than waiting. He was so afraid that the warrior would laugh at them for their silliness.

[Snakekit]

"we thought we could find a warrior to train us here." Snakekit said

[Thistleflame]

"Could you train us?", Thistlekit asked hopefully, peering up at Cinderstorm. Wait. Maybe he shouldn't've asked yet. He didn't even know what her name was yet. Oh well. They'd probably find out soon enough.

[Snakekit]

Snakekit looked up with at cinderstorm. "Please?" Someone had to train them.

[Cinderstorm]

I nodded "Sure, my apprentie is almost a warrior. By the way i'm Cinderstorm" I told them with a purr. "Now why don't we go out side of the den and talk?" I asked them.
