Thorn!

[Coralfoot]

Coralpaw limped into the medicine cat's den with a huge thorn in her paw.
"Waspwing?" she croaked. The white bengal limped around the den, looking for the medicine cat.
Finally, she sat down and looked at her pad, the tissue was torn and it was bleeding. Not knowing what to do, she let the red liquid stain her white fur.

[Waspwing]

Waspwing rolled his eyes as he watched the apprentice limp around like a fox with three legs. "Calm down, you idiot, it's only a thorn." He mewed curtly, grabbing some cobwebs and poppy seeds.

He hobbled over to the grey she-cat and examined the thorn. "This won't hurt. Well, actually, it might. A little. If you want to believe it won't to make you feel better, go ahead." He meowed, grabbing the thorn in his jaws.

Pop

He dropped the thorn on a shriveled maple leaf and began applying some cobwebs to her paw. "Don't put too much pressure on your paw for the rest of your day, and try not to get the cobwebs or the wound dirty." He instructed, rolling a couple of poppy seeds at her.

"If the pain is a little more than you'd like, eat those poppy seed. They'll ease the pain, and you can get a good nap out of them." He muttered, burying the thorn in a tiny hole.

[Coralfoot]

"Thanks," Coralpaw sighed. She limpe dout of the den with the seeds.

[Dewkit]

"Coralpaw? What happened? Did you get into a fight with another clan?"
Dewkit looked at Coralpaw's paw.
"Oh. It's only a thorn. Did Waspwing treat it with dock leaves? I remember when he treated my paw with them. But yours isn't quite as bad, so cobwebs and pressure ought to have helped. Did you get poppy seeds? Oh you did. Sorry I'm babbling so much, you'll need a rest. This must be one of your first injuries, because you look a little shocked. Maybe some thyme would help? All though that might dull your stress too much, and then you'll expect thyme whenever you get the smallest scratch. So I guess Waspwing should save the thyme for other accidents."
And Dewkit continued to babble on about herbs.
