Coralpaw limped into the medicine cats den. She sat down and called for the medicine cat.
She was in the camp, leaping around the rocks the way she did among the trees at their old camp. She landed on a sharp boulder, and the tip pierced through her paw. She fell and got dirt and bits of rock in it.
Coralpaw glanced down and lifted her paw. There was blood oozing out of it and the small rocks were sticking into her paw.
"Hello?" she called out.

Fernpelt looked up from where she was absorbed in her herbs. She walked over to Coralpaw and inspected her wound. She quickly applied some marigold and cobweb. honestly, things were getting so much easier with the coming of Newleaf. She didn't worry about herbs half as much as she used to.

"Thanks," Coralpaw meowed. "I promise, no bouncing around the new camp." She said it, knowing it would keep her from getting injured, but jumping and leaping was her life.

"Yes, well, it's more than that. He mewed curtly as he padded up to her from his nest. He sniffed at her paw, and glanced at Fernpelt.
"The wound will heal, and will heal quickly. But for the next day or two I'm going to ask you not to do much. Anything that could potentially reopen the wound is out of the question until Fernpelt and I are sure the wound won't get infected." He meowed, this time more sympathetically.

"Ok," Coralpaw mumbled as she looked down. "But what about training?" Coralpaw asked. "I can't put my training on hold! Can I?"

Waspwing rolled his eyes, and flicked his tail. "Your health is more important than anything. And I guess you don't have to stop everything. Just nothing that would put too much pressure on the paw, or something that could ruin the bandages. Just clean some dens, maybe do some simple battle training." He mumbled, padding back to his nest.
"You'll be a warrior soon enough anyway."
