✘ LETS SEE HOW FAR YOU CAN RUN ✘ hurhur. here comes the freak show.
sedgepaw wandered slowly into the apprentices den, trying to sniff out her old nest. no where to be found. it had probably gathered too much dust, so they threw it out. good ridence. it had a thorn in it she couldn't find, so now she could finally get a good night's sleep without waking up with a thousand pin pricks on her skin.
sedge's peach-fuzzed body and over sized ears stuck out against the furred apprentices around her. the girl sighed and sat down, watching everyone with her big powder blue eyes. the devon rex flicked her whip-like tail, which caused a small cloud of dust.

Windpaw had been sitting in the apprentice den. Lately she had hung out with Slypaw so she was in a good mood. She was alone though, and she felt like she wanted to meet somebody new.
She wanted to meet somebody interesting. She looked around at the cats and tried to choose who she might want to meet. Who looked nice and who looked like they wouldn't like her.
Windpaw then spotted a cat who looked like they had no fur. She tilted her head in confusion. Where had her fur gone? Windpaw decided to go speak to that cat because she looked cool.
Windpaw bounded over to the cat and sat in front of her. "Hello. My name is Windpaw." She meowed a common greeting. Nothing too fancy for the mostly white cat. |

✘ LETS SEE HOW FAR YOU CAN RUN ✘ sedgepaw looked up at the slightly older apprentice and cocked her head. someone willing came up to talk to her? odd. " howdy. " came sedge's usual greeting. " i'm sedgepaw. but you can call me sedge. " she said in her usual loud and commanding voice. managing a smile, the nearly furless she-cat wondered why this little pretty missy wanted to have a conversation with her. sedge didn't have any friends, and she never expected to have any.

Windpaw was surprised by the sheer loudness of the cat's voice. Sedgepaw's voice she supposed. Considering how her name was Sedgepaw. It was a nice name in Windpaw's opinion.
Windpaw nodded her head. "Well it's nice to meet you Sedge." She meowed with a smile. She wondered what the cat was thinking. Maybe she was wondering why Windpaw was here?
Windpaw was really curious about her fur, although she didn't want to be rude and maybe upset Sedge so she didn't voice her question quite yet. She was fine not knowing. |

" if you're wondering, i was born this way. without fur. well, i have peach fuzz, but that's not really fur... i like your fur, though. wish i was attractive like you. " she huffed, her loud voice actually dimming for a moment.

Windpaw frowned at her explanation. When she said that she wished to be attractive like Windpaw she frowned even more. Windpaw flicked Sedgepaw with her tail.
"You shouldn't think like that. You're unique and that makes you attractive in your own way. I happen to think you look awesome." She told Sedgepaw with a little huff.
"Tell you what, if anybody makes fun of you for not having fur then you tell me and I'll give them a piece of my mind." Windpaw nodded with a small smirk.
Windpaw suddenly felt protective over Sedgepaw. It wasn't like she was younger or anything, in fact they were basically the same age. The she-cat just seemed so down on herself, and that wasn't good. |

Windpaw nodded. "Of course I would." She meowed. She'd probably get all freaked out at the thought of confrontation, but she could always try right? It wouldn't hurt to try.
Windpaw thought for a second for an answer for Sedgepaw. "Well I have a friend names Slypaw, he's pretty cool. Other than that... well there are a few other apprentices I know, but I'm not exactly a popular cat." She stated.

Windpaw smiled and nodded. "It's really nice to just have somebody to talk to sometimes." She stated. Having a best friend was fun, but just having somebody there was just as nice.
Windpaw listened to what she said next and shrugged. "I could introduce you two. He's pretty awesome in my opinion and he's nice too." Windpaw told Sedgepaw. |
