Bluestar gave up more to become leader and had her clan in her mind with everything she did so I would have to say she is the best leader, though she did fall apart near the end of her leadership (though I kinda liked her as a crazy loon XD) If we are going by the original books Firestar was an extremely good leader in the last book and he is my second favorite character of the FIRST series but , though I love how Fireheart acted and rebelled......He should not have the same Fireheart mentality as the books progress. I do not believe he was the better leader but if it came to being the better warrior he trumps Bluefur easily. Firestar gets a lot of hate because he became pretty dry as the series progressed but he was so interesting in the first few books I could never find it in myself to hate him. I don't hate Firestar; in fact, he was my favorite character along with Greystripe in the first generation of books. Nearing the newer books I disliked his personality, and even when Bluestar lost her family her loyalty to ThunderClan stayed strong. She proved to be responsible, and was never afraid to battle for the protection of her clan. Overall she was my favorite leader out of the two, but I agree with tiger; Fireheart would make a better warrior.

I found it annoying that Firestar let in so many outsiders to the clan. Letting in the occasional brave, loyal and courageous is fine, but Daisy never even did anything. She just sat in the Nursery all the time. In the end she was just another mouth to feed and Firestar was an idiot to let her join.

Firestar. Bluestar was a good leader, but I just happen to prefer Firestar and little bit more. He has been with us from the star and I was sobbing to see him go.

I have to go with Bluestar. Firestar may not have gone crazy, but he didn't go through nearrllyy as much as Bluestar did.
Sister got run over by a car. Had to give up her three kits. One died in the snow. Had to hear about her star-crossed lover's death. Mother died in her first battle.
Bluestar may have gone insane, but she had also lost almost everything in her life. By the end of her life all she had was Thunderclan, her kits (who didn't meet her until her death) and Fireheart. The fact that she didn't just jump off a cliff to end it sooner is actually quite a surprise.

The fact that she didn't just jump off a cliff to end it sooner is actually quite a surprise. Praise the lord our Savior! Thank you for getting that point across in a good one sentence, finally someone seems to understand that Bluestar went through some 'stuff' (gotta use my nice words)

Dont forget she lost 2 of her deputies to the cat she most trusted, Tigerclaw, and then he tried to kill her. Also she was tormented by her uncle and her sister's mate her whole life. She went through her best friend, Leopardsomething's death along with her kits. And all that other stuff. Yes, Bluestar I think would win.

Firestar basically lost...Uh..He lost...Ravenpaw...In a way..And he didn't even die, he just had to go live on the farm so Tigerclaw wouldn't murder him.
Face it, guys, Firestar may have been sane, but he had a decent life. He had kits he could love their whole lives, a mate that didn't die/live in another Clan. He lost one deputy, who died in honor of his Clan. You could, I guess, say he 'lost' Graystripe for a while. But then he came back and lived so whatever. OH AND HIS SISTER NEVER DIED. Well, as far as we know. Princess may have died after the first/second series.

And don't forget, Bluestar had to put up with Thistleclaw (who I found EXTREMELY annoying). I have to go with Bluestar. Firestar is a good leader and all that, but he's always so perfect and stuff, always having to find out the answers before he can go into war, and it bores me to death. Plus, at first, Firestar's name was the coolest. Now, everytime I read Firestar's name, I just grow bored of it. Firestar this, Firestar that. Firestar ran up to Brambleclaw and slapped him with a dead fish. BLAHTY BLAH BLAH.
Personally, my favorite leader out of them all was Crookedstar. To me, he had a good name, and he was the RiverClan leader, which is the Clan that I'd join if I was a Clan cat. My other favorite leader was Scourge (DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNN!!!)
(WARNING-MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD-DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT TO)
Scourge was my favorite character, not only because he was a major bad cat, but because his half-brother was Firestar (if you didn't know that already, well, SURPRISE! Now ya know). It seems so ironic. Firestar's the perfection center of the Clans. Wouldn't hurt a fly if his life depended on it. But Scourge didn't care. He wasn't afraid to go into battle. He had plans to rule the entire Warrior Cat world, and personally, I would've loved it if Scourge came back to life in Firestar's last battle.
But we know that can't happen. Scourge had no belief in StarClan, and that's why I hate StarClan. At least let Scourge in the Dark Forest! Then I would be happy.
Now, one last thing before you all kill me from boredom, I want to talk about Hollyleaf.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Some of you LOVE Hollyleaf. And I don't mind her, myself. But she carries Firestar's habit of being nosy. She HAD to go to RiverClan and get captured. She HAD to try and stop battles. And she HAD to always recite the cat bible (The warrior code) in everyone's faces because she believed every little stinkin' thing gone wrong was against the warrior code. "OH NO! Lionpaw caught and ate prey out in the territory, even though he's on border patrol and he's allowed to do that! I better go tell Firestar!"
AND SHARPCLAW OF SKYCLAN! Man, he gets on my nerves! In SkyClan's destiny, he's all mean and stuff. Sharpclaw was the one who nearly made me put down the book. So darn annoying.
ALRIGHT, I'M DONE!
