Let's Get Our Popularity Up!

Hey everyone! No one seems to visit this board these days, but I think that if we all work together, we can change that. This will be a debate on, well, what I just said! Who thinks that we can get this clun's popularity back up?

Rather odd debate, but I guess I have opinions for it ssoooo

I believe this board could be active, since people love to debate. But on the other hand, people will definitely post useless, boring debates. In the end it'll probably just go inactive again, or people will just turn it into a Llama Debate Club.

I think the problem is that an alarming number of people don't understand the concept of debate, and simply assume that it's always yelling and insulting rather than calm, rational dispute. There's also the problem of the fact that the few who have the tolerance and the brainpower to properly debate are far more advanced on a literacy level than most, and therefore raise the natural human defences of insulting the opposition as opposed to stating their support and systematically tearing down the other's platform. Not a lot of people tend to understand that, and that is, therefore, why this club is an utter failure; because people are incapable of defending themselves in a logical, rational, and respectful manner.

Though it would be nice to have the Debate Club on it's feet again, I simply don't think that people of the...we'll say "lower" (for lack of better words) tier of the intelligent would be able to debate with any sort of rationality.
